If people are opposed to pineapple on pizza because its a fruit they must order it with no tomatoes as well
Tomatoes might be a fruit, but they taste like a vegetable. So, from the perspective of classification, they remain a fruit. From the perspective of consumption, they shall be considered a vegetable. That actually reminds me of when I refused to let my eggs or bacon be adulterated by pancake syrup. People would say "it's all gonna get mixed in your stomach anyway" in an effort to get me to lighten up on the subject (). So, I quickly learned to say "what happens when it's past my taste buds doesn't matter".
Indeed. Pineapple is like a hammer. Just as a hammer can either build homes or crush skulls, pineapple can either make upside down cake or desecrate pizza.
Nothing wrong with pineapple juice for breakfast, especially not when it's free. Hawaiian pizza requires no justification. If you'd prefer different toppings on yours, then by all means, order it with those toppings. No one will stop you. That's the beauty of pizza: you can have whatever you like on yours -- or no toppings at all. Just plain cheese, if that's what floats your boat. No bell peppers (red or green); no jalapeños, either; no olives; no pimientos; no peperoncinis...
Thin crust, m'man. Yeah, tomato is a fruit, but a savoury fruit. I don't want pineapple all the time, just sometimes. The combination of sweet and savoury is a thing, y'know? Like sweet and sour. IDIC.
It's a free country. If Hawaiian pizza is ordered, I'll gravitate toward other varieties. If only Hawaiian pizza is ordered, I will pick off the pineapple and eat it separately.
Confession, I once ordered a Hawaiian but I asked the guy behind the counter to not include the pineapple. He looked at me weird.
Do love me some pineapple. I'll drink straight pineapple juice Has no place on a savory dish at all. I don't even like it on hams... let alone a pizza, for god sake. You are the kind of heathens who invented hamburgers on a donut
A burger with the works in Australia, usually made a corner takeaway, can include a slice of cheese, a fried egg, sliced beetroot... and a ring of pineapple. Food of the gods!
I remember the first time I had a burger with an egg on it. I don't remember pineapples on burgers though, but maybe I blocked it out...
wierd little bit of fast food history: before the Fillet o Fish was invented by a franchise owner trying to find something to sell on Fridays in a heavily Catholic town, McDonald's corporation was developing the Hula Burger which would have been a fried pineapple between two buns
Works burger: Buttered roll Beef pattie Lettuce, tomato, onion. Bacon Cheese Beetroot Fried egg Pineapple ring Barbecue sauce. Magnificent!
