Apparently the actor who plays Burnham Sr. posted on her Instagram something about Star Trek but quickly deleted it.

Unfortunately no, I'm not the great and powerful Larry Nemecek.

Yup, whereas Season 1 built up progressively and finished with a mediocre episode, season 2 really nailed the ending.

We Canadians are a sneaky lot--we get it on Thursdays (but we have to wait until the evening to catch it on cable--we're the only country in the world, I believe, that does not require a streaming service to watch DSC).

Still, I'll be staying out of here for the next 22 hours or so.

11:07 Pacific is the time the episode will likely drop. ;)

That was usually around the time Picard and Lower Decks episodes became available.

I've got coffee. I should probably make some more.

I know I'll regret it "tomorrow", but I'll manage.

Hopefully they can get back to their original time by the end of the episode!

*is in denial about the fact that they're never going back*

I must not give into the temptation to watch beyond Such Sweet Sorrow P2 until Tuesday.

    Here's hoping I can.

First commercial break! Yes, I'm on the cheapo CBSAA Subscription. But this is my first opening to say this was worth the wait.

Book's a great addition to Discovery. So is Grudge. ;)

The shaky fight scenes are just annoying to me, but I really like that Book is an animal conservationist! And that entire last part with the lonely guy finding hope and finally raising the flag was very emotional and saved the whole episode for me. More such scenes, more animal rescue, and less stupid action, please :D

Here's something interesting from the season preview:

Is that a Hiawatha type in a flashback showing "the burn"?
