I watched X-Men: Apocalypse for the first time since it was in theaters, and it was OK. It's definitely one of the weakest X-Men movies, but it's not that bad.

If that is real, I just hope they are adding Homecoming too.
They released a trailer, clips, and some new information on the Marvel's 616 documentary series.
    Trailer:

Clip from the Japanese Spider-Man episode

    Clip from the Spotlight episode

The first episode, The Japanese Spider-Man, is directed by David Gelb and focuses on Toei's Japanese Spider-Man series. The second episode, Higher, Further, Faster, is directed by Gillian Jacobs, and focuses on the "women who have played important roles in Marvel's history". The third episode, Amazing Artisans, is directed by Clay Jeter, and focuses on artists Javier Garron and Natacha Bustos. The fourth episode, Lost and Found, is directed by Paul Scheer, and is about "the most obscure, wild, and forgotten Marvel characters". The fifth episode, Suit Up, is directed by Andrew Rossi, and focuses on cosplay. The sixth episode, Uboxed, is directed by Sarah Ramos, and focuses on the "symbiotic relationship between toys and comics". The seventh episode, The Marvel Method, is directed by Brian Oakes and focuses on the creation of the current Iron Man 2020 comic. The eighth and final episode, Marvel Spotlight, is directed by Alison Brie and follows a group of high school students who are putting on one of the Marvel Spotlight plays as their school play.

The Simpsons Season 31 is out on Disney+ next month. They really want me to know with the amount of remarketing I am getting.

I watched Onward last night, as it's only just come to the UK. I loved it so much, and it's probably my favourite Pixar film since Inside Out.

And even though it's not the same it used to be, looking forward to catching up with the latest Simpsons shenanigans. I have no idea when as my TV backlog is getting a bit silly. :techman:

Yeah, Onward was really good. Not a lot of people saw in theaters before they shut down, so I'm hoping it's taken off now that it's on Disney+.

I think it and Birds of Prey were the last two I saw. I really enjoyed it, but I remember critics not liking it.

I appreciated Disney putting Onward on Disney+ pretty quickly and while it's not my favorite Pixar film, it was pretty good. I do hope people who have Disney+ and like Pixar films do give it a try. I think it was one of the last films to have a theatrical run before the lockdowns started.

Yeah, I think the theaters closed just a week or two after my mom and I saw it, and we saw it the first or second weekend.

Cool. Glad to hear they're not charging extra for it.

I watched The Wolverine for the first time since I saw it in theaters, and I really enjoyed it. I think I actually enjoyed it more this time than I did the first. I remembered thinking the end made no sense when I saw it in theaters, but this time I had no problem with it.

I'm surprised that they're not doing the premium access thing with it. It looks interesting. I haven't bothered to watch Onward because it looks really bad (and I got the ending spoiled), but I'll definitely check this out.

You should really give Onward a try, it's a pretty good, and as long as you have Disney+ you can watch it for free.

Eh, the ending would drive me insane

You never actually see the Dad for the little bit of time he's fully formed I think, either that or he just never fully forms, its been a bit since I read the spoilers but that's bait and switch BS and to me it makes the whole movie worthless

I have been extremely unimpressed with Pixar the last few years. Between Coco (which I hated), Incredibles 2 (which felt like a fuck you to the fans and was probably even worse then Coco), and Toy Story 4 (which was somehow a more cynical cash grab then Cars 2, even if its technically not as bad a film), I no longer look forward to Pixar films. To me, the last decent Pixar film was Cars 3, and the last great one was Inside Out. Since Soul has the same director of Inside Out, and has a premise I find interesting, its definitely been on my radar and I'm hoping its a return to form for Pixar.

But Onward is just the same mediocre to terrible Pixar of the last few years to me, and I really just don't want to waste my time on it. I used to be a Pixar fan who'd be excited to see what they did next, but not anymore. Now every film they make has to prove itself worthy of my time, even if I can watch it for free. Soul has done enough in that respect for me, Onward I didn't like from the first trailer and the ending just proves to me that I won't like it.

While also missing the point of the films and shows that would've been clear if he actually watched them! ;)

You are massively, epically, hugely missing the point of the end there.
I'm just going to spoil the rest of it for since you are apparently not going to watch it anyways.
No, we do not see the father, but that ends up leading Ian to realize that he doesn't need his father, because Barley, his older brother, has already done everything his father would do for him. The whole idea behind the movie is not actually them finding their father, it's the way the journey effects their relationship.
