Uhhh... actually, biologically, YES, she sure can! My oldest daughter, who I'm helping with her AP US history right now, was born at 23 1/2 weeks (15 1/2 ounces) So, even if Melissa announced at the very hour of conception, she definitely could gave delivered by now. I would assume she would want to to wait at least 2 months before announcing.
Thanksgiving 2002 my Brother and his than girlfriend where at our parents house. About a week later we got a surprise phone call that she delivered my nephew. She was not showing at all and she is tiny. No family members knew she was pregnant! We had just seen her. They were hiding it. I do not remember the details, how far along she really was. Something specific biological to her. My nephew was heathy and my future sister in law was fine. He started his Senior Year in High School a few weeks ago. Point is - it’s very possible for pregnancies and due dates to be hidden!
Next up with be The Flash which I think has maybe 2 seasons left in it. Then basically Phase 1 of the Arrowverse will be gone. Well except Legends but it could be gone as well in 2 years. You know with Black Lighting, Stargirl and hopefully a good Superman show and a better Batwoman I think things still look good for this universe. I could also see them doing a Supergirl tv movie with the cast in addition to her showing up on the other shows. Kind of like what happened with RIck on Walking Dead. Jason
The overly large purses, the fact she was always standing behind furniture and a sudden affinity for smocks should have been your first clues.
I can see it now. "Supergirl are you feeling okay. This is like the 4th week in which you keep showing up wearing your cape backwards." Jason
There's an argument. If the fetus is not solar powered or less lower powered than mommy, it's going to be like an ant in a vice, trying to grow up into a baby. Non solar powered kryptionian sperm, or just out right Human sperm, is not going to be able to pierce Supergirl's solar powered bullet proof egg. If Kara wants a successful pregnancy, she has to downpower for nine months. A bunker, the dark side of the moon, or Argos City. Super charged sperm can pierce the egg, and then the fetus is fed sunlight by the Kryptonian woman's body. So everything should be fine. Clark down powered before inseminating Lois in the CW to avoid blowing the back of her head off at the moment of climax, and voiding the fetus the ability to burst out of mommy at 8 weeks and fly around like that bouncy ball in Men in Black Swiss Cheesing the city.
My wife drank ice tea in a wine glas at one of the last party's my wife and I gave before we told we were pregnant, so no one would ask questions. Especially woman, they are brutal
^^^ If that's the case, the act you're referring to here DOESN'T result in insemination...just saying...
My prediction: She'll leave Earth at the end of the series. Maybe Argo (if it still exists post-Crisis) or New Krypton or whatever. They'll keep the door open for the character to return and then never actually have her return. Also Lena will definitely die, probably sacrificing herself to save Supergirl. Which will give the Superman show a much angrier Lex.
Please, no. She deserves better to be fridged to make Lex angrier. And having her around makes Lex a richer, better character -- it would diminish them both to take that away.
Sounds like a likely outcome. That way, no one will ever expect her to drop in on any other series because "life happened" and she has to deal with it. Of course, if she ran off to some New Krypton or Argo 2.0, it will make her 6-year journey of living in the world / relating to her human companions as irrelevant if she decides to ditch earth for whatever reason (like feeling as if she only fits in with her own people). Oh well. He does not need Lena to die to be angry, since he's a bitter, violent sociopath already, Her character was never handled well with the way her immoral acts were all brushed aside. The only dramatic--and sensible arc for her is facing the music for her acts, but this series' showrunners will never go there.
That, or she joins Brainy when he goes back to the 31st century and joins the Legion. This way, she'd still be a superhero, but she'd be isolated enough to only bring her back for meaningful events.
We can stop debating it - I just saw on Instagram Melissa sharing a picture of her baby boy - Huxley Robert Wood. Born “a few weeks ago”.
It's a direct quote. http://www.rawbw.com/~svw/superman.html Kryptonians have no super powers in Argo City is what I meant by down powered, which is where they went pre crisis to have a kid. Post crisis if these kids are a decade older, they had to have used another trick to stop Lois from doing a fair John Hurt impersonation.
Hey, that's plausible, given that Supergirl has a history in the comics (and the DC Animated Universe) of being associated with the Legion.
If they do that I would like it. Much more satisfying on this show we’re she is friends with Brainy and had history with Mon-El. Plus Winn. Unlike Smallville were Kara was sent to the future mostly not to deal with her in the finale. She had no history with the Legion on that show and did not even have a goodbye scene with Clark.
Near the end of Justice league Unlimited, when given the opportunity of joining the Legion, Supergirl said something like "Living in the 21st century is like living in the past."
Going off with The Legion seems a lot more likely to me than her leaving Earth. It would take her out of the picture for Superman & Lois, but she would still be out there doing her superhero thing, and since they have time travel, it would be easy to have her pop back up for the occasional guest appearances.
