Okay, the last contest was all about Vinyl Album Cover Art (shoutout to @Captain pl1ngpl0ng for running it), so I'm very lazily going for another kind of Cover Art (which is often similar, aside from format), the book covers. Now, I'm putting in some limitations, so as not to go totally wild. 1. Cover art from fiction books, only. We don't need photograph covers from the latest celebrity auto-biography, be more creative than that. 2. No movie or TV tie-ins. Same for comic or video game adaptations. It must be from originally literary work. And no loophole through reprints to tie into media adaptations, either. So, War of the Worlds, sure, but better not the edition coinciding with the Spielberg movie. 3. Should go without saying, but keep it safe for work. Wanna do a Frazetta cover, use one without nudity. As per usual, entries may not exceed 200x200 pixels and/or 1 Mb data. You may enter up to three avatars.
the next book I just ordered "now" looking for book covers #1 Codependent No More Workbook Melody Beattie
I've never read this, but I remember seeing it in the bookstore a few years back, and had difficulty deciding whether I should be intrigued, or laughing. In case you can't tell at this small size, it's two astronauts examining a dinosaur skeleton on the moon. The book is Dinosaur Thunder, by James F. David.
Okay, I just notice that, @think , your first entry is not a work of fiction, but a self-help book, and is therefore disqualified. I'll give you one more day to come up with another entry.
Haven't read it yet (though it's on my Kobo), but I really like the cover image: Here and Now and Then, by Mike Chen
this is the original book cover of the book I read in 8th grade so it has memories... I just liked the cover of that self help book but I guess I would not find that cover in fiction--- I was going to find a bible image as a work of mostly fiction but mmmm that would of been a debate of itself---
