So the ST Online summer event is up and running with a free T6 ship and some nice kit gear to grab from the events, and at this point anyone just starting can still get the 20 days requirement to get the free ship, so just a heads up for those who might have missed this event starting, but you have another 2 days to start the daily rewards to get the ship before it is too late, so get in there as the event is one of the best yet, easy and lots of rewards. ;)

I much prefer Q’s Winter Wonderland to the Summer Risa Event, but I do love the floaters and power boards. Looking forward to getting this new ship.

Some cracking gear also, The floor is lava just eats though mobs, and the electical sphere kit does similar.......and the risa kit seems very interesting as the more Risa kits you slot into it the bigger the percentage to ranged weapon damage goes up, plus other interesting effects, so a good kit for one of your charactors that does not have the upgraded rommy ground set.

I was looking at those. Do you recommend one over the other (lava vs electrical sphere), or did you compromise and get both? :)

I'm looking forward to each event. I hope they can realise their idea for a Halloween event, too.

Lave has a 2 min cool down, lighting is 1 min, both are great, but my advice is grab both because with two you also get a 40% ranged weapon damage increase, so i am working getting a full set for the higher ranged damage, but very nice gear, when you are fighting a real heavy just pop the orbs to drain their sheild then pop the floor lave and watch all their cares literally melt away. lol

^^Another bit of must have kit is the gravaton spike for your tac, 20 sec cooldown and it boosts your range weapons attacks, pair that with the risa kit for the 20% damage boost and you have a nice ground dps increase from these two bits alone.:)

Awesome! I had a ton of Lobi to burn from the most recent campaign completion. I got the other things you mentioned and I should still have enough to convert into more Lohlunat for the spike kit. Thanks again!

Alright, so stupid question about BOFF’s that’s been bothering me for some time and I’ve never been able to find a decent answer in my searches. I have a ship with 5 BOFF slots in the Crew Stations area. I am a level 65 Flt Admiral and all my people are purple rare characters that have been promoted to full Commanders in their career pages, but they all have a different quantity of available skill slots for bridge use. This is the load out:
    • Engineering/Temporal Ops Commander - 4 skill slots
    • Tactical/Command Commander - 3 skill slots
    • Tactical Commander - 2 skill slots
    • Engineering Commander - 2 skill slots
    • Photonic Science/Medical Commander - 2 skill slots
I’m not entirely sure why they don’t all have 4 skill slots like they do in the away team. I have a bunch of other sidelined BOFF’s, and when I switch them around in the officer slots in the Crew Stations page, it’s always the same limited number of skills available for that officer. Is there a way to max out all 4 slots for all posted officers?

No. It‘s the system to give the ships different flavors and specialties.
On the ground the specializing is in the ground kit. the away team is meant to replace other players.
When you team up, the Boffs are not needed.

But it sounds like you have a pretty powerful ship already.
Having other commanders allow you to swap ships easily.

There are a few duty officers on the phoenix box store that will give you 5% plus damage against borg, vadwar and undine, on the ground and in space no matter where you slot them and are well worth a rare token.

The ones you slot into your space and ground to give you boosts, i can't remember what they are called but i think they are duty officers........not the ones you beam down with that are also in your bridge stations.

And i see once you start reaching teir 6 you can claim a free fleet modual, that was a nice bonus because it means i can claim the fleet versions of the c-store temporal pack and get that a extra console slot and more hull, and more hull is always handy when i am fumbling to fire all my buffs in a battle. lol

Hey everyone, I didn't know where else to ask this question, but it's a bit off topic. Sorry bout that!

I would very much like to purchase an Oberth-class light science vessel, but for some reason when I select the ship to buy it, the buy ship button is greyed out, and it lists it as being - zen. The wiki says it's available to purchase using dilithium, but the dilithium store has no ships listed. I'm an Admiral at Tier 6 level, and I have no idea why this is giving me so much trouble. Please help me if you can!

^^^This has been a bug for a while now, it is no longer on the c-store to buy for zen and you can't buy it with dil as you can with all teir 1-4 ships, so at this point there is not much you can do but wait and see if they fix it....unless they removed it to bring in a new teir 6 version, you never know.
