TNG “Eye of the Beholder”. Had Gene been alive he’d have flipped at the notion of Starfleet officers cheating on each other and then committing murder and suicide. Aside from that this is very middle of the road territory. Not as bad as I remember but not one to rewatch in a hurry. The Worf/Troi stuff still seems so odd even after all these years. I don’t see the point of it this late in the show’s run, especially as the slate would be wiped clean the moment the movies began.

Awesomeness, that's what it was about. Sheer, unadulterated, wacky awesomeness.

Voyager - Faces. I've been listening to the Delta Flyers podcast hosted by Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeil, and it's nice to have a refresher. I'm still not much of a VOY fan, but the podcast is interesting.

TNG “Genesis”. I can’t say this isn’t entertaining enough, but my god it’s an utterly ABSURD episode. If “Sub Rosa” was where TNG jumped the shark, this is where they invited the shark round for coffee and cake.

Funny you should mention it, @ananta, but last night I watched "Sub Rosa". While there was definite shark-related nincompoopery going on, it wasn't as terrible as I recall. I can actually see why @Sakonna likes it so much!

I love "Genesis"! It's ridiculous, but gripping and rather fascinating, and all the cast seem to give it their all. Perhaps that'll be my next re-watch... :rommie:

Glad my "Sub Rosa" love is spreading! In 20 more years, maybe general fandom consensus will have it alongside all the other greats -- BOBW, Inner Light, Yesterday's Enterprise, Sub Rosa... :bolian:

TOS: "A Piece Of The Action"
Just watched this for the very first time, and was shocked -- shocked! -- to find that I just LOATHED it. Watching it felt like spending a week in the agony booth.

This is fast turning into the controversial opinions thread
Ohh, I don’t know how anyone can hate “A Piece of the Action”! I never cared for gangster flicks but it’s engaging and just so much fun. Worth it alone for the scene where Kirk and Spock attempt to drive a car.

“Sub Rosa” and “Genesis”. If they were done as comedies I might be more forgiving. But I just can’t. I really don’t know what the writers were smoking those last few months. Both were well directed and neither were dull, but they were just embarrassingly nonsensical.
