The Romulan War took place between 2156-2160, https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Earth-Romulan_War . It began 2 years after season 4. Season 4 was in 2154. Jolene Blalock can still play T'Pol. I agree with a series showing from the formation of the Federation onwards. This series should be around the same year as Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Lower Decks, maybe also Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, so we get a series in the distant past of the Federation or pre-Federation and a series set in the future. I wish they would do an anthology series.
Not a lot of people knew about the Save Enterprise campaign. I am one of them, as I live in the UK. If knew about it, I would have helped.
There was the Save Enterprise campaign in 2005. It didn’t work. We got the reboot movies which had minor ENT references instead. There was also a campaign to watch ENT episodes on Netflix a few years ago. It resulted in CBSAccess instead. ENT is something that the producers would rather reference than do something with them. Even though its clear that they’re not that old and they can still do something with them. I’d be okay if they took the Star Trek: The Beginning script and reworked it into being an ENT movie or a series of ENT movies. That probably their best chance to come back, sine there’s never been a Star Trek movie that’s never featured the Enterprise before.
I'm British too. The guy who ran it was (alegedly) a bit shady, plus they were making demands CBS would never agree to, if it was just a flat out donation it might of worked.
From what I know, Save Enterprise was Axanar before Axanar. Lots of money goes in, nothing much comes out.
Here is an article from Trektoday with John Billingsley mentioning about why Star Trek: Enterprise failed, https://www.trektoday.com/content/2020/06/billingsley-why-star-trek-enterprise-failed/ . Here is the source, https://trekmovie.com/2020/06/22/jo...ore-development-was-fked-by-network-timidity/
Enterprise was only on air for four years. The show ended 15 years ago. Too much time has passed. I'd be game for a "sequel" to Enterprise, a mix of old and new characters. What is Admiral Archer up to? Is Trip really dead? What happened to T'Pol? Did Reed, Sato, and Mayweather EVER get promoted? It's expected Phlox would have returned to his people, but does he visit Earth now and then? What would the story be about? What starship would our heroes fly around in?
Billingsley is correct, but he's being far too nice. What he's trying not to say is that UPN was a bunch of idiots with their heads up their asses, who screwed the show by meddling instead of just letting the showrunners do what they wanted.
He'd be given a very special assignment, counting all the paperclips at Starfleet Headquarters, as far away from interstellar events as possible so he can't offend anyone, get has ass whooped, and screw anything up. Charles Tucker IV has a remarkable resemblance to his late...eh...uncle... On prolonged special assignment with Charles Tucker IV. Only Harry Kim will be in the Ensign Forever Club. He has to feed his egg drop soup addiction somehow.
Are they still there or is there new leaders? Since Viacom and CBS companies remerged into one company again, called ViacomCBS.
That is why they can continue the series from the episode Terra Prime as an animation series. If they cannot contine it as a live action series again.
UPN has long since bit the dust. The people who were in charge of it either moved on to other things or are no longer in the business. And CBS is not going to make an animated series about ENT. I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but that’s the way it is.
Even if by some miracle Enterprise were to get a revival, it'd be absolutely nothing in tone like B&B-era Enterprise, and probably not even all that much like Coto-era Enterprise.
Probably special assignments. Well, someone who looks like Trip is dead… Either a Starfleet captain, or raising a child on Vulcan. Or both. Only the guy that tells Archer that they’re ready for his speech in TATV got promoted, from crewman to ensign, during the entire ten years the NX-01 was on its mission. Wonder what he did to get promoted over Reed, Sato & Mayweather. I imagine he would, given his long life span. Hopefully not something dystopian and in a ship that reflects the time period. Which would not necessarily be a bad thing, since ratings kept going down under both B&B and Coto. Kurtzman-era writing for the ENT era would be an interesting experiment.
Maybe a Romulan War animated movie? Bring back the voices; then maybe a post-War President Archer era scene in the 2170s/80s? I dunno. I've said elsewhere I'm not confident in how the Romulan War would be handled by the canon studio line. Maybe a Kzin War animated film right before the Romulan War, alluding to their plans for S4? The last Terran/Earth Kzin War.
