I think it would be hilarious if everyone is waiting fo Beverly, but surprise: It's Pulaski who appears!

(I have nothing against Dr. Crusher, but the outrage would be fun to watch.)

What would be more outrageous is if neither doctor appears. That's what I would enjoy...

theory: the riker we saw was actually Thomas Riker, and he's gotten so comfortable with being a clone, that all the Zhang He fleet were commanded by Thomas Rikers. Also the riker in TATV was Thomas Riker.

And there were more Thomas Rikers on Nepenthe. Will Riker is stuck with a damaged Troi clone on clone world Ehtnepen. Of course Will Riker would have never made it to admiral. He calls their 4th-hand shuttle "Enterprise F" No one has the heart to tell him there actually is one, now.

Okay, so, I hate Jellico. But the idea that he’s best friends with Riker? You get a like.

Also, I liked Rene, and that he’s off on buccaneering adventures is so left field and intriguing — like the Nyberrite Alliance.

Crusher — died commanding the Pasteur during the war.

Ogawa — was her second officer.

Worf — died in a hunting accident, with Martok.

Pulaski — died falling down the central turbo-lift shaft in Spacedock. (Yes, I went there.)

    Geordi — died in childbirth.

Leah — committed suicide after the loss of Geordi and their son Jean-Luc.

Jean-Luc — died on Term’n’x III at the hands of the Jarada upon their learning he’d survived their earlier Raid that killed his parents. (No, I don’t like that I went there.)

Ro — died when the Jem-Hadar routed out the Maquis.

Tom Riker — died in a Cardassian prison, defending a fellow prisoner from an ornery guard.

    O’Brien (original) — died in DS9’s “Visionary.”

O’Brien (alternate) — killed himself after being sprayed by Keiko’s blood, after having to murder her, after she’d been bitten by Molly, who’d just eaten Kirayoshi, after the girl was infected by a strange pathogen, when she went exploring during a family vacation, on planet London-XXVIII.

Lwaxana — died during the resistance after the Battle of Betazed.

Homm — died avenging her and murdering the last of the Vortas Borath, in charge of the invasion.

Barclay — died when the Doctor malfunctioned during the synth upgrade. Subsequently all sentient synths (including holograms) were deactivated until their code could be reviewed. It never was.

    Shelby — died after sucker-punching a Nausicaan.

Jellico — died mysteriously three weeks after returning to the Cairo. Starfleet erased all record of the ship shortly thereafter.

Sela — executed for her failure in TNG’s “Unification, Part II.”

Tomalak — executed during Shinzon’s Reman coup.

Moriarty — died when his holo-cube was phasered by the significant other of a crewman who had died when Moriarty took control of the Enterprise. The significant other was executed as the phasering took place at a holo-lab on Sheliak soil.

Gul Evec — died during the Klingon invasion of Cardassia in DS9’s “Way of the Warrior.”

    Guinan — died killing Q2.

Q — murdered by his son, a Quinn-ite, who later committed suicide.

    Wesley — never, ever, dies.

    Did I miss anyone?

Worf, Geordi, Crusher, Wesley, Troi, Barclay, Ogawa, RO, Chief O.Brien, Keiko, Guinan, Ensign Gates, Spot, Livingston, Mott, Pulaski Lwaxani Troi, Alexander were all flying together to say goodbye to Data before Picard pulled the plug so to speak on him only for the shuttle they were all in to accidently explode when Spot jumped up on a computer console, activating the self destruct button. Riker's ship also exploded 5 minutes after leaving, do him leaning on the arm of the Captain's chair to much activating that ships self destruct button also.

What I would like to see...

Worf: captain of his own starship. I would like them to go honor Michael Dorn's "Captain Worf" pitch in some way.
Alexander: Maybe Klingon ambassador to the Federation or working for the ambassador.
Geordi: I would like them to bring in his "Countdown" story where he created the Jellyfish and is working now for the Daystrom Institute. Though in his past he was captain of the Challenger, as a nod to VOY's "Timeless". I never bought into the Geordi-Leah romance, so I would rather have him with Aquiel or a newly created character.
Crusher: I want her to be captain of the Pasteur like in "All Good Things" or head of Starfleet Medical.
Pulaski: I would like to see Pulaski again or she gets a mention. If she was at DS9 or some other starbase that would be cool with me. Or maybe the chief medic on Worf's starship.
Wesley: I would be fine with them having him back in Starfleet, but not necessarily on a starship. He could be using his genius and superpowers to help the Romulans.
Barclay: Same with Wesley. Perhaps he's working on something involving the Delta Quadrant. That could bring in Janeway or some of the other VOY characters.
O'Brien: I like the idea of him teaching at Starfleet Academy and I'll go with that.
Ro: A part of Fenris with Seven of Nine. Thomas Riker could work well here too.
Lore: I was hoping that Alton was actually Lore, and I'm still holding out hope on that.

Tough one... They really need to make appearances in the manner of Riker and Troi, they can't just be brought back for a cameo as it does nothing to further the story, leave that to the comic tie-ins. That being said, most of the main cast could play a pivotal role.

Beverley Crusher: Could be brought back for numerous storyline purposes. She was the original love interest for Picard, until they decided to keep him reserved. The easiest and perhaps most intriguing plot to factor in (even though Picard didn't seem bothered too much about being one) is Picard having a crisis due to now having an Android body and questioning whether he is, still Human. Beverley making an appearance and accepting, by still having that unrequited chemistry and making him realise he is still Jean Luc Picard - would be the resolution to such a plot. But I don't see this happening, because the whole "what it means to be Human" was done to death in TnG already, and as mentioned before - He didn't seem that bothered that he was no longer completely biological. Dr Crusher is probably still a doctor.

Wesley Crusher - I think it's inevitable Wil Wheaton will end up guest-starring, because of his association with the show. There's again, a lot of things they could do with Wesley that load onto Picard's unresolved past with Beverley. Given Wesley was wearing a Lt (JG) Operations yellow top in NEM, it stands to reason he returned to Starfleet and became an engineering officer off the back of his studies into warp theory with the ĺTraveller.

Worf - I think Worf was far more fleshed out in Ds9, that was his show. There was very little character development for him in the features. The only reason to have Worf on the show is if there is a Klingon storyline or he's first officer of the Enterprise and faces a challenge of loyalties when Picard steps back into his life. Making him the actual Captain of Enterprise would kill his Ds9 arc where it's clear that he would never get his own command due to compromising a mission to save Jadzia and do what he thought was right, and not what duty commanded (which was Worf's ongoing character flaw in that he chose duty first).

La Forge - I didn't like the idea that La Forge designed the Jellyfish in STC nor that he spearheaded the fleet construction at Mars in PIC Countdow. It just seems so out of character for him to be building ships vs serving on them. Have him teaching at the Academy, mentoring like he always did informally with Data, etc.

    Yar - Deceased

    Data - Deceased

    Guinan already confirmed.

Most of the main cast could use more character development (imho most of all Seven, Rios, Elnor, Soji) and then there are the criminally underused ones, like Laris and Zhaban... I'd settle for Laris. So, if there are only two more seasons, I would really hope they use legacy characters sparingly. If they do it Nepenthe style, at least half of the episodes would be devoted to them. That would make it TNG 2.0 in a way... and not a good way.

    But, I'll play:

Beverly - head of Starfleet Medical

Pulaski - head of Starfleet Medical if Beverly isn't... otherwise... hmmm, don't know. Could be a formidable opponent to any "arificial life forms equality" movement, e.g. holograms, xBs... or could be an ally, as a lot of time has passed and she did show she could learn on TNG

Troi and Riker - moved back to a more central Federation place - Earth or whatever - just so that Troi could be consulted for some much-needed therapy (and as I'm sure they'll want to include Riker again, he could be on active duty again) Could make for fun and interesting dialogue.

Geordi... no idea. Maybe working wit Barclay on something something technobabble that eventually involves La Sirena. Or maybe just meet our crew in a bar!

Wesley, Worf... I don't really care.

Ro: has survived the Maquis desaster. Has been hiding somewhere remote. Could be returning to Bajor via DS9 (would love the Sirena crew to go there)

O'Brien: still teaching... could be on a field trip or conference at DS9/ on Bajor, or even teaching on Bajor permanently. (With Keiko frequently making exobotanical trips to the Gamma Quadrant... or maybe she's a teacher/ professor, too)

Molly: XO, maybe under Cpt. B. Crusher or Worf
Kobayashi: still close to Kira, has adopted a lot of Bajoran culture, follows in Kira's footsteps (whatever they may be)
Conflict with Daddy ensues when one of them brings home a Cardassian SO.

The Doctor (I know he apparently won't be in s2, but still): Could be campaigning for the rights of holograms, trying to recruit Seven (and the Sirena holos).

IIRC, Laris and Zhaban are a classic case of characters who were only intended to have a very minor role on the show, but the actors ended up making the characters a lot more memorable then they were intended. I believe there is a plan to give them a larger role in the second season.

Oh, I agree. But when your minor characters are more interesting than some of the main ones, you should make more use of them. Which I hope you will.
ETA: I think it's a bit of the writing, too. I mean, ex-Tal Shiar trying to integrate on Earth is interesting, at least to me.

For all the characters, that appeared annd will appear in PIC: Whatever they do or did, their faith will be connected a bit too much to the theme of the season, they appear on.
