God, what is with the utterly unsuspenseful cliffhanger in this one, where they tell us going in it’s a ruse. Is the audience supposed to be as many steps behind as Worf is?

 

DS9: Covenant.

The look on Dukat’s face when he first sees that the baby is half Cardassian is so good.

 

DS9 rewatch:

"Business as Usual"
"Ties of Blood and Water"

Kind of a letdown after the last several homerun episodes.

 

DS9: Its Only a Paper Moon.

Great episode. Really like the arc they worked out for Nog.

 

DS9: "Wrongs Darker Than Death Or Night"

Despite many interesting ideas rattling around in there, this episode does NOT come together. A true DS9 rarity: the failed Kira episode.

 

Ferengi Love Songs (DS9)

I find the majority of Ferengi episodes boring, but Shimmerman and Combs bring their A game in this episode.

 

DS9: Prodigal Daughter.

I like Ezri but hate that we had to get “backstory” episodes thru Season 7.

Is it just me or did they go out of their way to make Mara, Kangs wife, coverup and not be as sexy as pretty much every other female on the show.

The Mark of Gideon (TOS Blu-ray). Kirk and Odona made a cute couple, I think.

TOS: "I, Mudd"

Ugh, what a drag this episode is. All the capering at the end... interminable.

VOY: "Ex Post Facto"

Now, THIS is comedy.

 

TNG "The Neutral Zone"
As with every viewing I like the 20th century castaways better than most of our heroes. Only Data and Troi seem to be decent instead of dismissive and smug.

 

DS9 re-watch. Snuck 3 in tonight...all very good:

"Children of Time" is a fantastic hour of Star Trek, often overlooked.

TNG “Rightful Heir”. Better than I remembered, although they should have tried to disguise the fact the actor playing Kahless was significantly shorter than anyone else in the cast...it just looked a little incongruous, as did his furry costume.
