Not to mention nothing he could produce could come anywhere near equaling the hype he has been heaping on Axanar. Think about, what will happen if he puts it out and it sucks after all of this boasting he has been doing for years. It will never happen

You know, in a way, I'm actually kind of impressed with Alec Peters. He's spent years conning people out of millions of dollars promising a product that will probably never come out, or if it does will probably suck, and the people he's doing it to love him. If you look at it a certain way, it's actually pretty damn impressive. I'm not sure there are many people out there who could pull it off to the level he has. Hell, he even got sued by a major international corporation, and he barely lost a step.
Sadly, I have a feeling that even if Axanar is a complete train wreck, his worshippers are still probably going to insist is the greatest thing ever made.

I miss the FASA stuff. I had a lot of it as a kid. It wasn't a great role playing system, but the sourcebooks themselves were so interesting.

For its flaws, I've long felt the FASA system has a lot of good points too.

Never played the system but always thought that FASA had some incredibly design work.

Televangelists have him beat. They've been doing it for decades and never have to actually produce squat.

I recall liking it better than D&D, I no longer remember the details, most likely it was a bit simpler, which made it easier to play.

Same, I loved their manuals and all the rich Trek lore within.

The former Axanar-director's since-deleted tweet today shows us he continues to be a crass act.

Nice job including the context. He had just watched the video of the retired officer who was murdered by looters defending his friend's store and bleed out on video. It was a completely senseless and evil action (just like the murder that started the protests/riots) and it obviously affected him deeply. He also posted a short but heartfelt apology video and went into it in depth on his daily stream. I disagree with his sentiment even post explanation/apology/retraction. Of course, if you've never said anything stupid ever on the internet then feel free to cast the first stone from your glass house...

I've never suggested violence against, let alone killing people. Period. So fuck that noise.

He's was let go from all his YouTube gigs and deleted this tween then posted a long apology video. It doesn't matter if you are POTUS or a regular guys..............never tweet or get on social media when you are angry/drunk. Never works out well.

In fact, Harloff did a long livestream discussion about it.

Agreed that there are similarities but also two key differences. I place value in both accurately describing the context of a situaton and what I consider a genuine apology and admission of error. Others apparently don't (both here and especially on twitter). And that is of course before even factoring in the various levels of anti-anything associated with Axanar in this thread.

While I agree that he was flat out fired from the schmoedown (sp?) Harloff thing, I think it really is just a temporary cool down/time out from the John Campea show judging by the tone of the Campea announcement and RMB's own statements saying that he (Campea) was still a good friend or somesuch. I never watch the former and watch only the select snippet clips of the latter so I may have missed something admittedly. He obviously will still have his own Robservations youtube channel and website still going though.
