Yeah, I hate when they just pull a channel with nor warning like that.
Watched Ghidorra, The Three Headed Monster last night, and I enjoyed it. I think this was actually the first Showa era Godzilla movie I've actually seen start to finish. I've seen bits and pieces of a few of them when they've been on TV in the past, but I don't think I've ever actually sat and watched one all the way through. I have seen all or most of the Heisei and Millenium era movies, but none of the Reiwa yet.
The human story was pretty good, and the monster fights were \fun. I know this was where the fights started to get a big goofier, but I didn't mind it. I actually thought some of it, like Godzilla and Rodan knocking the rock back and forth was pretty funny.
The only things that really bugged me was that they never really explained how the Princess was a 5,000 year old Venusian sometimes, but not others. I was was also disappointed we only got Mothra in her worm form, I kept hoping she'd turn into the moth, but she never did.
The thing about the Princess surviving because she fell through a whole in dimensions was also kind of weird, it felt like it should have been a bigger deal than it was. I kept expecting it to end up playing some kind of a role in either changer her back into the Princess, or defeating Ghidorah, so I was kind of shocked when it was never mentioned again after the interview with the UFO guy.

It's odd that Shin Godzilla and the anime trilogy are being called Reiwa-era, considering that they all came out in the last year or two of Heisei. I guess they're anticipating future films, even though there are no announced plans for any yet. Technically, the only Godzilla film to come out in the actual Reiwa era so far is Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

The Wikipedia page for the franchise said that Toho has said they are going to start their own MCU style kaiju cinematic universe in 2021.

But one that isn't in continuity with Shin or the trilogy, so I wonder if those should be given some different name rather than lumped in with the Reiwa series.

What I found interesting is that in the English-Dubbed version of the film - the Princess claims to be a Martian, and it's Mars that King Gidorah destroyed.

Probably more interesting, although I doubt Stone would have the balls to cut the films most memorable monologue. But yeah.

I think it would be wise for TCM to offer direct subscriptions, or hook up with Amazon or something.

Well, that sucks. I guess if you don't make obscene amounts of money, you're out of luck.

I love my TCM, but I still can't bring myself to pay an extra $10 a month just for TCM. I may break down when I run out of classic movie DVDs to rewatch, but for now . . ..

Any updates on this? Anything good coming up for TCM in the upcoming Summer?

Same, I have too many streaming services I pay for and I just couldn't justify that one. I believe my cable switched it to the "sports tier" of all things. I guess some genius was trying to figure out how to get people who don't need more sports to purchase that tier.

Seems like a lot of us lost access to TCM back in October. I try not to look at the TCM listings anymore since they only frustrate me.

(Stupid "Sports and Entertainment" package. Grrrr.)

Yeah, I don't have TCM anymore (although I still have my Backlot membership). I wish there was an alternate way to access it, like through Prime or Hulu or something. I'd pay an additional fee for TCM. I'm afraid it's going to fade away and die from being mistreated by cable companies.

Too bad, I checked myself and they shower both "Chopping Mall" and the Director's Cut of "Night of the Creeps" last night.

For those of us lucky enough to still have TCM, here's what I found for the next couple weeks. All of the times listed are Eastern.
Saturday June 6 at 3:30AM: The Devil Within Her. I've never heard of this, but it's listed as horror.
I haven't seen it so I'm not sure if it qualifies, but they have Eyes Without A Face on Monday the 8th at 4:15AM.
Monday June 8th, 9:15 AM - Tarzan and the Valley of Gold
    Monday June 8th, 2:45PM - Hercules, Samson & Ulysses
Thursday June 10, 3:15AM - One Million BC
Saturday June 13 6:00 AM - The Horror of Dracula
So that's it for the next couple weeks.
EDIT: Of the movies they currently have streaming on the website/app the only ones I know for sure are SFF are Eraserhead and The Omega Man.

Devil Within Her seems to be this, which sounds absolutely dreadful-- so I'd love to be able to see it.

So what happened that so many people lost TCM? Did they break their contract with Comcast or one of the other cable companies?
