Hm. I do have to say, these contests do appear to become more and more of a circle jerk. I mean, only the two of us did entries, even you yourself didn't bother with a third entry, and there have been all of five users caring enough to vote, resulting in me winning with an entry that has two votes. And this is with a theme that is incredibly rich that should be generating a whole lot of entries. I'm afraid that the interest doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I'll come up with another contest. But these contests are supposed to be something for the community, and if that community does not participate anymore, I do start to wonder if it's still worth doing.

 

I usually vote. Didn't this time.

 

I think regular participants in these avatar contests have the time and/or motivation to enter one or two contests each week, but not 10 or more different contests for every sub-forum on the trekbbs. That takes a special kind of OCD.

Also traffic tends to drop off in this particular sub-forum when there aren't any new episodes to criticize.
