How often do you watch TNG these days?

I noticed a few years ago that TNG was still a top show in some countries on data mining lists, but for myself I don't really watch it that much anymore. is there anyone who still watches it as much as 5 years, 10 years ago? Or is it just an occasional pleasure?

Watch it all the time. I DVR episodes off BBC America, which I won't be doing anymore now that I have Netflix. It'll be so nice to watch full uncut episodes without having to fast forward through BBC America's endless self promotion ads of their own shows that I couldn't give a rat's ass about.
Been contemplating getting the blu ray set but don't want to spend that kind of money right now.

I find it nice to have in case I want a ST fix. Also nice to have on as background noise if I'm on my laptop

Hardly ever. I was driving hard through my new BR disks at one point, and I just hit a wall with how stale and uninteresting Season 6 is. It started feeling like a chore rather than an enjoyment to get through it.

I might do a rewatch every few years or so. TNG was the series I watched the most so I'm always afraid about it getting stale. It was the series I grew up with and it's still my favorite, so every few years I will watch it and enjoy it over again.

TNG and DS9 are my lunchtime choices on BBC America but that's about all. I get pretty much enough TNG through moderating this forum.

Well, right now I finished a Quarantaine-rewatch? Before that a friend and I rewatched seasons 1-3 last year. Before that I hadn't watched in several years.
Still TNG and DS9 are probably the science fiction shows I watch the most (not fantasy, I watch fantasy a lot more).
Right now due due to Quarantaine I'm a little bit lost on watch to watch next. I'd like more science fiction right now, but just finished DS9 and TNG and well, I don't like the other Trek shows all that much.

Not much. I watched “Contagion” some weeks ago. And it had been a long while before that.

Thanks to Netflix I watch it on/off randomly through the year. I watch TNG the most probably followed by DS9 more than the other shows.

I watch 1 or 2 every so often in a month. I watched The Survivors & Ensigns of Command within the last week or 2. I think last month was Ship in a Bottle & Devil's Due.

But it's true I don't rewatch them as much as I used to a decade or so ago. 30 years of watching them, I got every single frame burned into my memory at this point. I'm not sure anything is ever meant to be seen as much as I've seen those things

I have a short list of movies and TV series that I rewatch and Star Trek is at the bottom of the list. Within that Enterprise and The Next Generation come first but it’s a rarity that I choose Star Trek at all.

    True enough.
A few months ago I watched TNG, then DS9. I watched 5 episodes of Voyager and passed on it. I’m on Season 2 of Enterprise now.

I thought I’d join to ask some questions.

Sporadically. I'll either marathon watch shows or do one or two episodes that I remembered something about. Up next will be "When the Bough Breaks", an oversimplified-at-times but fun tale... at times it's more fun to talk about it than to rewatch it.

Which 5 episodes? I'll agree it's not the best of the franchise but there were a few gems... hopefully not in the 5 you watched.

I have been rewatching for the first time in years. Never bought the DVDs or Blu Ray's and I haven't watched the whole show through in at least 18-20 years. May have watched an episode or two since I bought a house 17 years ago. But beyond that not much. I'm very much enjoying my rewatch. Forgot lots of stuff and it's even better after watching Kelvin and ALLAccess Trek. Yeah the show gets a bit bogged down the last two season but they are still good. I'm looking forward to intermingling them with DS9 and than Voyager. On to Enterprise and stop there. Probably be the last time i will be able to do this in my lifetime.

I tend to watch any Trek show during a milestone...a new/related show, an anniversary, etc. After having watched them many times over the years, I enjoy savoring them after an absence.

Not much, because I know the good episodes too well and don't want to rewatch the bad ones. I got around that for a while by specifically targetting the "decent but not great" episodes, but now I know those too well as well.

If all goes according to plan I usually watch my favourite episodes of TNG every summer. It has become a tradidion after some summer work back in the 90s and bying TNG on VHS. Summer happens to be my favourite time of the year so a perfect time to watch favourite series. It's also the only time of the year for TNG.

There have been few exceptions last summer being one of them. Still, TNG in some form, I watched some episodes that I have skipped for many years, just to remind me if they really aren't that good. Also, skipping the best episodes for a while makes it harder to learn them inside out. Well, it's June soon so better get the DVDs ready, the best of TNG coming soon. :)

When I DO watch it, I sometimes look at some less talked about episodes and sometimes discover they've aged very well. :bolian:
