I feel the same, and don’t want the lines between work and personal life to be blurred, but here we are. I’ve been working from home since last Monday, and can see some advantages to it, but would still rather be in the office. I’m a test engineer, and though I can do meetings and answer emails from home just fine, at some point I will need to use the tools and equipment in our lab and I can’t do that remotely.

I finished my world map jigsaw and now I have to wait until my new jigsaws arrive.

Today we are going to learn how to play our new board/card game called Sequence.

that's a lovely puzzle! But I imagine it's quite difficult. How many parts is it, 1000 or 2000?
Great idea! I have puzzles galore and haven't done any in ages =)

This morning I discovered that 2 of my scented irises already have buds. This year I'll draw them! I've always wanted to do a pastel of the irises because their shape is so decorative. I bought the pastel crayons years ago and somehow I managed every year to miss my irises flowering. This year there's no escape for them! (unless it rains for the next 3 weeks) :D

It was only 500 pieces so was quite easy. It is the first puzzle I have done for years. I simple sorted the pieces out into the continents and then put them together one continent at a time. The ocean was a little bit more difficult but I have a reasonable knowledge of the world’s islands so that helped. I have more puzzles coming including a map of Australia and a map of Africa. I like map puzzles because I am quite good at geography.
I might get myself a couple of 1000 piece puzzle which is usually the biggest I go though I have done a 1500 piece puzzle in the past.

Working from home lets me take a few breaks to lift weights throughout the day. Not something I can do at the office.

That's an excellent idea! I've had trouble with some shortened muscles in my shoulder for a year now. If I can't go to physiotherapy, I'll therapize myself =) I'll get myself one of these broad rubber bands and try a few pulling exercises.

Some days, like today, I'm feeling trapped. :(

More than 80% of my department's staff are now on telecommute, and I find myself among the very few who still come into the office several days a week. Yes, there's still work to do, but half the time I'm crawling up the walls waiting for something to happen.

The one day that I did work from home seemed productive, but in general I don't like being cooped up at home all the time. I can be sedentary on weekends, holidays, and vacation days, but I feel I have to get out of the house at some point.

Now it's even worse due to the shelter-in-place restrictions. Even if I decided to take time off, which I have been seriously considering lately, I could only go to a few places and am limited to doing a few things.

Some of you may have already seen this, but I thought it worth sharing to ease the ennui of everyday life during this terrible pandemic.

Yet I should take this one to heart. :)

I have all these things I want to get done and no energy to do them. It is hard to stay on task for me. My husband is home and that changes everything!

Went out for essential supplies. Got into an argument with grocery store security. My dad snuck some stuff in the cart. I thought they must be under strict orders not to pull him up because he continually gets away with it and is VERY obvious. Fills bags in front of staff. Lucky me wasn't aware of this and pushed against the guards pulling. Turns out store security can use reasonable force. I got real heated up and they asked if I was going to hit them. Dad gives a weak story about "we got them somewhere else" and police said they'd be checking that stores' cameras, and asked me for the imaginary receipt. I introduced myself as his guardian and reminded him that he didn't have to incriminate himself.

Now with all of that having happened, we were able to drive away from the scene without being arrested... until a cop on my side door orders me to pick up something. It looked like a glove, and it wasn't mine. I didn't say anything about coronavirus because I thought it was reasonable to not put myself at risk. He then tossed it into the car, and didn't like me giving a "Why do you have to be like that?" look, got arrested. Ironically I couldn't be taken in a car because of coronavirus. They immediately let me post bail. I went to an interview voluntarily and exercised my right to silence. The footage didn't even show any incriminating evidence. So I'm not allowed into their chain which is annoying asf as there's only one alternative near me.

Other than that, my normal life is like this and I've trained for this situation for years!

We're supposed to have holidays for Good Friday and Patriot's Day (Massachusetts holiday commemorating Revolutionary War on which the marathon usually runs), and nobody at work seems quite sure if we're still taking them.

The prevailing attitude seems to be "What's the point when there's nothing else to do?"

Where I live it's still okay to go outside for some exercise, so I went for a fifteen-mile walk and run around town. Next time I'm wearing better shoes, though.

Some relatives are ill. Two corona cases among them - both luckily far away from me. I'm so tired and just want to sleep.
