One problem with doing a Seven and Fennis Rangers show is conceptually it sounds like it could be to much like the Georgiou Section 31 show they are also doing. That's why Seven being a regular on Picard in the end for season 2 I think makes more sense. If you want to do a Seven series I think it might be more interesting to set it in that Vegas planet we recently saw and turn her into Bogey and do a Trek version of Casablanca. She runs a bar and is sort of caught up in middle of Romulan,Federation, and Fennis Rangers conflicts trying to stay neutral. People would trust her because she use to be with Starfleet on Voyager and with the Fennis Rangers most recently. Why she would leave the Fennis Rangers might be because a new leader shows up and wants to start attacking Federation planets or ships and the group is corrupted somewhat but not completely. Actually it could open you up to other stuff as well. Casino or Goodfellas stuff or dealing with Quark as a competitor. Jason
I think the activities and overall mission of the Fenris Rangers can be shown to be much more righteous and just than section 31. From what I gather, the Fenris Rangers aren't out there doing their own brand of justice along side of/getting in the way of the Federation or Star Fleet. They are doing it in the absence of any official keeping of the peace. The Fenris Rangers can easily be shown as clearly being the sympathetic good guys doing what it takes to help the people who need it most, because nobody else is helping them. Someone joked "Star Trek: A-Team", and while I wouldn't want it to be exactly that, I do think the feeling that the A-Team was clearly always on the righteous side of justice could also apply to a Fenris Rangers show (although maybe that "righteous and just" could be depicted in a way that is less cheesy than the A-Team). There was really no moral ambiguity with the A-Team -- or even "The Magnificent Seven" [no pun intended] as someone else suggested; we the audience were meant to view both groups as clearly being the good guys.
Isn't Seven Spoiler a Borg Queen (albeit temporarily, okay)? A Trek show with the Borg as the protagonists = cool. And who wouldn't want to serve under her?
I do wish they had given the existing shows time to see what emerged in terms of spin off potential before committing to developing other shows. Id rather they shelved Lower Decks, which sounds awful, and Section 31. Pikes Enterprise and the Rangers seem like the most promising ideas.
Seven is not exactly what one would call "personable". She's very good at what she does -- killing people.
They're a private military company. Yeah, like the A-Team, but I was also thinking of Raiden's PMC from Metal Gear Rising
I think having Elnor as part of a potential Fenris Rangers series -- someone for Seven to Mentor, much like Icheb in VOY -- would give her character a chance to soften up a bit.
If they are going to do a A-Team they need to have RIos in charge. SInce he smokes cigars like Hannibal. Seven gets to be Facemen and like in the A-TEAM opening credits you got see a Borg Drone looking like she used to walk by her. Jason
It would give her an anchor (something to keep her from going over the edge completely). I wouldn't hew too closely to the A-Team (Seven is the tactical expert).
I thought Katee Sackhoff would play Face. And as I mentioned before, Dwight Schultz would play Reg "Howling Mad Murdoch" Barclay.
