Children of Mars ended up actually being about children of Mars. So, Et in Arcadia Ego will clearly involve these guys.

That is odd, because I'd previously looked into making the votes public for the 1x08 thread, and didn't (and still don't, just checked) see the option available. Is there a trick I'm missing?

It all could go any different direction. The Romulan fleet “feels” like bad guys. Whoever they fear for all we know could be good guys. Why would there be a vision of Data in a 200,000 year old vision? It’s all still very much up in the air. We think we know who is good and who is evil, but that doesn’t meet that’s the actual situation that will happen.

Its just as likely that its too late and we are given a quick peak at exactly what the Zhat Vash are so afraid of.

I doubt most of the Romulan ships realise that they are working for the Zhat Vash, even Zhaban thought they were a myth.

I could be wrong, but I suspect the planet is called Coppélius, which is the name of a doctor who creates a living, life-size doll in the 1870 ballet Coppélia: The Girl with the Enamel Eyes.

In the ballet, a young man and woman are about to get married, but the man becomes enamored with another woman, the titular Coppélia, who he sees sitting very still on a balcony of a house. What follows is a plot in which the boy tries to reach Coppélia, while the girl tries to prove that she is fake. Eventually, Dr. Coppélius invites the young man into the house because he needs a human sacrifice to give Coppélia the gift of life. At this point, the girl masquerades as Coppélia come alive and whisks the boy to safety. A saddened Dr. Coppélius discovers that his creation is lifeless.

Why the heck this building reminds me of Alara's father's house in 'The Orville"? (BTW he's played by Robert Picardo)

At least she's more upfront than Admiral Nechayev in dealing with Picard ;);)

I'm thinking that the "Big Bad" is actually not another Entity, but ends up being "Ourselves" fighting each other.

We have the Romulan Fleet, the La Sirena, Narek in his fighter, the Star Fleet Squadron and Seven with the Cube all possibly converging in one place...

Looks like a battle is brewing to me.

But I'll bet 100 Quatloos that Jean-Luc manages to stave off enormous losses on all sides with a speech.

There's a good chance he will appear to greet Picard & Co towards the end of this episode.

But he'll be playing Lore instead of Data...

I don't believe there was a squadron waiting for Picard and company at DS12. My intuition tells me that if the La Sirena had gone there, it would be game over, with PIcard confined and Soji in the custody of Starfleet Security, where there would be an "accident" resulting in her death. For me, it was confirmed when we saw Narek's snakehead. He got information on where they were.

    So, we have:
    * The androids on the planet, plus whatever ships and orbital defenses they have
    * The Romulan (Tal Shair/Zhat Vash) fleet
    * The La Sirena
    * The Borg cube, with Seven in command

    Who told Narek?
Picard and Crew decided not to go to DS-12 after he already talked to Clancy.
And Narissa was fighting for her life at that moment.
Even if Rizzo probably did inform Commodore Oh, I don't think the Commodore knows how to get in touch with Narek.

If Clancy doubts Jean-Luc and tells Commodore Oh what she now knows, that just means the Fleet Squadron will show up to stop Picard instead of to help him.

Does the OH actually know where Narek is?
He only informed Rizzo that he lost the tracker, not where he was.
I really doubt that Narissa would be likely to tell Oh about another failure anyway.

Why not? They are military officers and it is their duty to report their successes and their failures. And, with the resources of the Federation and Starfleet, Commorode Oh could locate the La Sirena and send that information to Narek.

During their conversation early in the season, Oh strongly implied that Narissa's continued existence depended on her and Narek not fucking up again. Not much incentive there to be forthcoming.

Do you think the Starfleet Squadron be led by the Enterprise-E, commanded by Captain Worf? If the faceoff happens toward the end of part 1 finale, the Enterprise and the Squadron arrival might be one of the cliffhangers....

Along with Seven and Elnor. By that time Seven might've restored power to the Borg Cube and somehow arrives at the planet, just before the clash between the different fleets mentioned above....
