Hey guys. My name is Clint Orr, and I just finished the first episode of a web series we've been working on for close to a year. It's TOS-inspired, sort of like, "what if a bunch of inexperienced, sarcastic crewmen manned a ship like the Enterprise?" I built the sets myself. I didn't know where else to share it where I thought people might like it. We're working on starting the next four or so episodes in the upcoming month.

Be gentle... we put a lot of work into this.

That was fun. Like The Orville but even more goofy.

    LOVE the robot and cat.

This reminds of me of the Orville . I like the cat character. And the robot is fun too.Good fanfilm I really enjoyed watching it.

Thanks for the kind words! I actually wrote a version of this a loooong time ago, and it was set in the Trek universe during Kirk's 5-year mission. That whole legal issue with fanfilms made me change it up a little. I figured it was different enough from Orville because it was more TOS than TNG, with a slightly different tone to boot.

Well that was rather delightfully unpretentious! It was silly but it actually had a but of a point to it and a theme. It was 10 times as entertaining as most fanfilms I've seen, and actually is funny in places.

I loved what appear to be literally cardboard sets and found-object spaceships. Bravo.

The only suggestions I could make for future installments is to work on the sound, which was a little uneven (I had a hard time understanding the robot and the Captain often sounded like he was recorded differently than others), and to pay a teeny bit more attention to the timing of the cuts (for instance, at the cut 4:45 you see Geera move to get up before and after the cut).

The credits are a tad inconsistent. There are actor names over the opening titles, then at the top of the first act there's a "Starring" credit for someone laster listed as "Special guest star" in the closing credits. What? :)

Maurice - Thanks for the kind words and constructive criticism. Working on addressing a lot of the sound issues. It's difficult because depending on what device you're using to watch, the quality of the sound changes. My laptop sounds great, work computer is fine, one TV is perfect, the other is terrible. Hard to find that balance.

As for the problem with the credits -- watched this thing 100 times and didn't catch that! I'll make sure that's fixed next time!

There’s just a different quality on the captain’s voice often, like it was recorded with a different mic.
