This is what Voyager traversed the galaxy for? A crapsack world where Icheb is mutilated for his Borg tech, where Seven joins a ragtag fleet to try and maintain order in a part of a galaxy Starfleet has withdrawn from, and ends up on a quest to avenge her son (and yes she calls Icheb that)?

Christ. I'm a little worried for the EMH or Lewis Zimmerman or whoever Robert Picardo ends up playing in season 2.

They both basically joined the Picard version of the Maquis. Must have taken some inspiration from Chakotay there. And last time I checked, the fate of the Maquis on DS9 was kind of the same.

So is no one gonna talk about the heavily implied relationship between Bjayzl and Seven? Because, GUYS. OMG, that was....like, pretty damn slashy.

 

I didn't pick up on that (other than the nickname, maybe), but it gives me an excuse to rewatch the ep....

eta: rewatched and not sure how the hell i missed that... no question.

 

I thought it was pretty obvious from the scene that they were lovers? Given the dialogue and the way it was played by the actors, I think you'd have to a lot of work to read that any other way.

 

So Seven has a thing for authoritative women...

 

Amazing to see Seven of Nine back.... definitely the same Seven that we know from Voyager! I was worried that they would make her character unrecognizable but they’ve done a great job at progressing her story in my opinion even if it is in an unexpected way. She even sounds the same just a bit more ‘natural’.

I totally need to watch this series with the subs, which I didn't have on last night, for some reason... def going back into these waters again for another view since I am apparently missing shit!

 

I thought it could go either way, though I leaned towards the slash in this instance since Seven did seem PERSONALLY afronted at the betrayal of her trust..

What seems obvious is that Chakotay is out of the picture.

 

I'd like the show to just ignore that ever happened. Let Chuckles go off with Janeway if she can't appreciate the goodness of J/7.

Was Bjazyl a Betazoid? I sensed that she was.

 

I agree with the very last part about J/7. As for Chakotay, let's leave him continue his inner quest with the help of as much animals as he wants BUT let's leave Kathryn pursue her destiny as an Starfleet admiral (nothing prevents Seven from possibly returning to her, when she will be sick of losing her time in useless fights! ) She is much better without him around!

NB I know, I know J/P and J/7 are my favourite pairs!
