Did some sketchings, and a bit off fiddling later this is where I'm at now. We'll see where this goes. I also had a thought that the forward wings might house intelligence equipment, making this more akin to an AWACS bird than an interceptor. At 6 decks high she isn't very big, but higher than a Bird-of-Prey and she's wider too, plus that the larger wings are high enough to allow for a complete deck inside of them, not just crawlspace.
I've often wondered if a Warbird could carry a smaller ship between its upper-and lower halves. Two of these might fit to either side of the prow.
Hmm... If you'd see the Warbird's wings as one side of a U, the tail section could nestle inside of that one and break away... Let me experiment with that!
Looks good. When I read "interceptor", I thought it might be a fighter, but this I like also. That is a question in actual Navies. Is it better to have a smaller number of very large platforms, or larger number of smaller attack ships. The former are more individually multi-mission capable, the latter present more targets for the enemy to have to hit and it's a smaller loss if one of them is taken out.
She is a transmission interception Seriously, good design. I like the split pylons and very plane style look. Really good stuff.
