I feel like "glowing white cube" is broad enough to have potentially encompassed the new prop; it's more similar to the earlier two iterations than most console rooms or sonic screwdrivers are to each other.
So the official Facebook page posted in relation to this week's episode, "Thought the Master returning was big? You won't believe what happens this week!" Which I guess explains why Chibnall is now listed as the co-writer for it. Insert "The person the Judoon are after is [another Doctor / Susan / The Rani / Omega / The Terrible Zodin]!!!" comment here.
Hmm, I wonder if this could tie in with some rumours I've heard that this Judoon episode and the next episode are in fact an unofficial two parter?
Well, Episode 6 seems to be the one where Ian Gelder appears. And given that he was the voice for the 'Timeless Child' speech in "The Ghost Monument" it looks like being another key one for the overall story.
Ah, so with everyone worked up in a tizzy thinking this titular Fugitive of the Judoon is Susan/Romana/the Rani/whoever, it turns out to be a new character who is integral to the Timeless Child arc. I can see that being the case.
Hmm... Character Options new action figures for the current series have been unveiled this week and you can see photos of all of them online, except for a Judoon one which is embargoed until after the episode airs. So at the end of the episode its helmet flips up and instead of a space rhino inside is...
Just seen a trail for the next ep, and boy are they ever pushing it hard. It's an EVENT, and they're determined we know it. Is it an exaggeration to suggest it could make or break the season/series? It could kick on from a great reveal or twist, or fall flat from an anticlimatic one. Suddenly I'm a little nervous!
I feel like the harder they have to push something as an "event", the more disappointed we're gonna be. But here's hoping for something good anyway.
Exactly why I'm nervous. The more you hype things up, the more scope there is for disappointment. Here's hoping, indeed!
The fam’s breaking up Mandip Gill has been cast in a new SKY ONE drama Tosin Cole has signed to star as the lead in a new court drama for AMC, 61st Street
Given everything I've heard over the ether, I see two-and-a-half likely possibilities: Either the Fugitive is the Timeless Child herself, or she's a WAY-pre-Hartnell - or possibly even post-Jodie - Doctor. Or, almost certainly, both.
I'm not sure the current showrunners would do anything that epic, but it would be fun. Another Valeyard type character maybe? Or a combination of the Doctor and Master?
Well, it's obvious. The reveal is that the Doctor and the Master are the same Time Lord. One or the other is a latter set of regenerations. The only question is who? I'm joking . . . I think.
Oh bugger. What character from the series past is a criminal the Judoon could be after. It's sodding River, isn't it?
Stands a chance Sweetie ! As I said elsewhere, Cole's been cringeingly bad, but Gill's been O.K. - sad to see her go.
For awhile (decades ago, mind you), I honestly thought (due to some dubious "facts" I read somewhere) that was one of the notions considered during the Pertwee era, before Delgado's untimely passing. Supposedly, it would have been revealed in Jon last story that the TimeLords tried to "extract" the potential evil from the Doctor as part of his penance. But the efforts materialized and took on an identity (kinda' like meek and aggressive Kirk from "The Enemy Within". And during that last adventure, when the Doctor is mortally wounded, a scrap of compassion hidden deep within the Master compels him to help his "better half" by merging "Watcher" fashion, thus becoming whole and regenerating into his fourth incarnation. Later, I learned that was just fannish speculation (and probably wishful daydreaming). Rather, it was a bit more down to Earth. The Master would have sacrificed himself to save the Doctor, but simply because they were once close friends, separate people, not "good" and "evil" halves of the same person.
0:23 seconds into the teaser Spoiler: not needed since the teaser shows it Cybermen. Master teams up with shiny newly redesigned Cybermen. Again. Nice callback to the lighthouse, though! or Spoiler The Kasshhhyyyykarian glowy things return (the low pitched voice is a giveaway) but turn off their showy glowy lamps, revealing a not dissimilar visage. Are they, and/or with the Master, the targets of the Judoon goons back from the moon's lagoon via harpoon and cheap lampoon?
