This movie should have titles at both the beginning and the end.

Maybe the title should just randomly show up in the middle of the movie just to be a real mindfuck?

Saw a long promo for this film.

It looks like he's in some sort of matrix like VR world. They have a shot where he's looking at something and it digitally glitches and that glitch wasn't due to a projection problem in the theater

The film deals with time manipulation, so it is probably more that than a digitally simulated world.

Do we know that? It could be the time within the digitally simulated world that's being manipulated.

Or what if it's a dream world? I've seen it suggested that this might be a stealth sequel to Inception, like Split was for Unbreakable. I think that might actually be pretty cool, if it's a new story in the same world. I don't really expect that, but it's an interesting idea to contemplate.

Looks really good. This trailer does seem to confirm that they are somehow reversing time.

Except they specifically said in the trailer, it's not time travel.

Pattinson said the movie doesn't involve time travel.

In the trailer they call in "Inversion"

Nolan loves to find ways out of the normal expectations

    Interstellar- Aliens? No. Advanced humans

Splitting hairs. Time travel, time reversal, same kind of fantasy. Going backwards in time is going backwards in time, whether you do it in a single centuries-long jump or second by second. (Imagine H.G. Wells's Time Traveller setting his machine into reverse at the lowest speed setting, and you'd get approximately what's shown here.) I doubt the physics will make any kind of sense, though the visuals and plotting should be interesting.

Amusing that a Nolan film co-stars a post-Nolan Batman (Pattinson).

In the words of John Locke, we're going to need to watch that again. :D

Hopefully we'll be able to watch it safely sooner than later, but I don't expect this film to be able to keep it's original release date.

I was interested when there was potentially Time Travel, but since its not that I doubt I'll even catch this on home video. I honestly really enjoy Memento and Inception, and I'd like to see another Nolan film like those, but this seems closer to Interstellar, which was garbage in my opinion.

Interesting they're releasing a new trailer for this now. Not only is it the first trailer for a theatrical movie to be released for months now, but wasn't there talk in the Wonder Woman thread that both Wonder Woman and Tenet might yet get postponed depending on how many theatres are reopened within the next two weeks?

I wouldn't believe Nolan if he took e back to see the Dinosaurs :)

But i don't mind - i love Nolan mindfuck movies and his trailers too, even if they are confusing or misleading as to the true story (so always). I remember seeing the first teaser trailers for Inception and even after the 2nd or 3rd trailers it still was unclear about the general story but they were so awesome that i had to see the movie - always a good decision with Nolan movies so i'm very optimistic about Tenet and i don't care if it is time travel or not.

Nolan is one of the few big directors who actually have original story ideas, that has become a rarity nowadays in Hollywood.
