There's two types of fans. The people who just really love Star Wars and are hugely entertained by it. And there are the type where the word fan comes from; the fanatics. They don't just watch it, they immerse themselves in it. And perhaps take it a bit too serious. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but they are usually the people who go overboard when what they feel should be right and true isn't displayed on screen/page/whatever.

The tie backs on Tattooine were tasteful. I liked how the cantina has changed hands and fallen on hard times. At first I was expecting the Bith band and the cantina band music, but that would have been too much upon further reflection. A lone Bith piano player would have worked well.

I'm really tired of the fake news sensationalism that media sites pumped with this episode hinting that Han Solo was referenced. This kid was reflective of Solo in only the most basic superficial way, if at all. I watched the whole episode expecting to find a Solo Easter egg and didn't find one.

Fett at the end? Sorry, didn't get it. But I wasn't picking up on some obscure musical clue or spur sounds, either.

I think the only Solo "Easter egg" that I noticed was in there was the fact that the kid was sitting at his old table from ANH and nothing more. Could be wrong, though.

I did find it humorous and ironic that, after not serving droid-kind for so long, the cantina wound up being run by droids.

As for the mystery character in the end, I hope it's Gideon and not Fett, but I can handle the latter. If it is Fett, he should definitely meet his ultimate demise at the hands of the lead character. And by ultimate, I mean final, once-and-for-fucking-all. Make it an accidental killing and make it all that more amusing, like when Solo blindly hit his jet pack sending him out of control into the Sarlaac, but more bounty hunter-ish.

Having either Baker or Temura Morrison just do a voice would be my perference. Going by their ages on Wikipedia, Daniel Logan is still kinda young for Boba at this time, and Morrison is to old.
Another possibility just occurred to me, if we only see his face for one or two scenes, they could just deage Morrison.

Not really. Remember, he would have been on a desert planet for years at this point and would have aged dramatically. Plus, Morrison didn't look that old in Aquaman. No probs.

I dunno, we're talking about a series where Obi-Wan, Beru, and Owen all age forty years in only twenty. ;)

Deaging is a little pricey, even for a show as lavish as this.
As for their ages; by my calculations, Logan is a little under 10 years too young, while Morrison is a little under 20 years too old. It's a lot easier to put an extra decade on someone than take two off.
I could see them going either way with it. On the one hand it'd be a lot easier to age Logan up than to age Morrison down. It's not just about his face, but his build too since it turns out Logan is a much better match for Bullock's body type than Morrison. On the other hand, Logan doesn't really look all that much like a clone of Jango.

So the way I see it, there's two ways they could do it: -
    1) Use Morrison but put him in heavy scarring/burn makeup to sell that he's injured from the Sarlacc and obscure how old he actually looks.
    2) Use Logan, again with the make-up but also either have Morrison dub over his lines, or run his voice through a filter so he sounds all raspy like the fumes from inside that thing burnt his vocal chords.

They could also just keep Logan under the helmet with Morrison's voice, but at that point why waste his time by making him a glorified stand-in? Honestly I think my preference is for them to use Logan if for no other reason than it's his character and he's earned first refusal on reprising the role. Now, that's not to say they can't have Morrison show up at some point too...like say in a big white Santa beard and a pair of DC-17s...or mutton chops and a cybernetic eye? ;)

And Anakin aged over 50 in the same time and actually overtook Obi Wan!

If we want to stick to the clone thing, he is going to have to eventually change from Logan to Morrison. Morrison was 42 when he did Attack of the Clones, so technically Boba should pretty much just look like he did there.

Sure, but by that logic they should be casting Alec Guinness for the new Kenobi series. As good a match as Ewan is, he's by no means a dead ringer, much less anywhere close to identical. It's all make believe anyway, so you kinda have to be flexible about such things. In a similar vein, in Battlefront II they had Temuera Morrison doing the voice of Boba Fett, but all of the clone troopers were Dee Bradley Baker.

Like I said though, my preference is mostly out of respect for Logan (and the face that he's worked with Filoni before probably helps a little) but realistically, I'd be surprised if they don't use Morrison.

Did it though? Dude could've just had a change of heart about droids when he found out it they were cheaper labor, and was just in the back napping.

Ming-Na Wen is the first Mandalorian Guest star that was completely and totally wasted. Good episode, though.,

We're just assuming that The Mandalorian doesn't like droids because of what happened to him and his family when he was a kid, right? No further explanation needed?

So it's probably not a stretch to assume that Wuher had a similar reason for disliking droids, and that seems like the type of thing that he wouldn't change his mind on.

I suppose that depends somewhat on whether or not her story is actually over in a one and done. I mean, sure, she looked dead. But people in Star Wars have come back after much worse. Maul, anyone? I'm not saying we'll see the character again, or that she lived. But I can't imagine they spent that stinger scene just for the heck of it. Which means Fennec's story may not be as over as it seems.

Or she's a busy actor who wanted to be in Star Wars, and this role was perfect? Requiring little in the way of time or commitment.

I initially thought she was going to be in the second season. But I may have misread.

In the anniversary short story anthology a few years ago, that was the case. He even had flashbacks to the war when he saw droids around.
