    RIP Mr. Auberjonois.

One of the best actors to ever walk onto a Trek set.

Instantly recognisable and yet so able to immerse himself in a role.
    Condolences to his family.

Happy he lived a full life but so sad to see him go. It's never going to feel the same watching DS9 now.

Very sad news. I got to meet him last year on the Star Trek cruise; we shared an elevator after he had just participated in an evening show. He was kind and humble, and even though I'd not seen much of DS9, he ended up being my favorite cast member that I met on the cruise.

Indeed. Every small part he stood out. He even played a villain in a film that just stood out, because there was a hint of gold inside that villain performance.

My favorite role, if I could pick one, was him as Mr. House from the video game New Vegas. Another interesting role with such a gravitas to it. Even in a video game appearance Rene's talent shined through.

First thing I remember him in is MASH, but over the years, there's been so much:(

I feel Rene would love this as a tribute to his characterisation of Odo. You watch all his interviews and he's NOT the sentimental type. Just a great actor/director.

I am most terribly sorry to see the old wisdom 'Death Comes in Threes' proven accurate once again - it would be impossible not to miss Mr Auberjonois' excellence in any case, but coming so hard on the heels of those other Trek-related demises makes this a pill all the more bitter to swallow.

    Requiescat in Pace.

You're not the first to tell me that I came to mind when they heard the news.

    :(

I'm glad I got to meet him, too. I guess its fortunate - my top three favorite characters are Odo, Spock & Data, and I have met Rene, Leonard Nimoy (2009 Star Trek premiere screening) & Brent Spiner (scifi con in Plano, TX) .

The Nog figure sucks, though. It came as an accessory for Rom, isn't possable, and I can't even get mine to stand up on its own half the time.

I won't be able to get through this without getting emotional.

losing a member of the Trek family is always hard.

Rene was a great actor and wonderful person. We keep losing folks this year! What a lousy week

I will have to watch some of my favorite Odo eps....

    RIP :weep:

I picked an Odo episode pretty much arbitrarily among his many great episodes, "Improbable Cause". Great interactions with Garak, Deep Throat the unknown Cardassian, Sisko, and the creepy fragrance dealer assassin.
