I have nothing against a Pike series, but to follow the thread title:

Anson Mount doesn't seem to be completely on board with making a Pike series so far. I guess he just doesn't want to commit to making a series in another country for years.

If they want to make an Enterprise series in the 23th century, they might as well go all the way and make a TOS reboot. It wouldn't surprise me if even more people are for this than for a Pike series. People who have only seen the new movies might be reached with it easier, too. When it comes to casting diversity, a point Serveaux brought up and which would also apply to a TOS reboot, things like gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation can be changed and new characters can also be added. For example TOS never had a prominent security officer.

After all this, I say they just make the Pike series.

    Hell, make two of them.

    I'm in, fuck it.

I want them to troll the fans by doing a pike series but setting it in the mirror universe

Yes. And with no prime Lorca. And S31 are heavily featured as the "good guys."
I'm always up for the fans being mercilessly trolled.

A "conspiracy of angels" trying their best to make the Terran Empire do the right thing would be fucking fantastic.
