I feel like whoever is doing these is almost, but not quite, paying close enough attention for this to really make sense.
This month's offerings are extremely poor. Imzadi Forever and Kahless have already been discounted, and as has already been noted, Imzadi Forever contains Imzadi II: Triangle. That leaves A Burning House (which at least completes the short-run Gorkon series) and Dark Passions. I haven't read them yet, partly because they're the byproducts of that unfortunate era where Pocket was splitting one novel into two volumes, then padding them out a bit (see also: Maximum Warp). More importantly, nothing I've heard about Dark Passions makes me suspect its take on the MU is superior to David Mack's. I may pick them up for completion's sake, but...yeesh. For some reason, I'd gotten my hopes up for a sale on A Time To..., especially given how important Kill and Heal became to the direction the TNG novel line took.
I agree @historypeats I was also hope the Time to series being on sale to buy those ebooks to read to lead up to Collateral Damage. I think it can only make Collateral Damage's sales stronger by having a reference point to read from in my opinion. Is there any reason for Imzadi Forever and the separate Imzadi Triangle II ebooks? Any difference? Maybe text changes. Who knows maybe S&S might change the sale page come December 1st. It happened with Fearful Summons two or three months ago? I'm hoping for more Trek ebooks on sale in December so who knows? Happy Holidays all, -Koric
I know what you mean--it seems like there's always one random title in a series missing or one which doesn't fit the theme of the others.
Hey all, As of today 12/1/2019 The Autobiography of Jean-Luc Picard is on sale for a daily deal until 12 midnight for a $1.99 on Amazon in ebook. Just a heads up. Also the December Trek ebook deals are now live at $.99 cents on Amazon too. Just dont shoot the messenger/Ferengi lol -Koric
I can't find any 99p books on Amazon UK today. They usually appear first Tuesday in the month. Am I just being blind or are there currently no offers?
Hey all, Really important to clear up the confusion. Imzad forever labeled Imzad forever TNG is actually the regular Imzadi book. The first part. If you bought Imzadi forever the signature edition it is books one and two Imzadi and Imzadi II Triangle. I found this out by looking at the ebook inside online. Its really confusing because the cover art is the same. Hope this helps, - Koric
@Koric: Right you are! It’s “Imzadi” with the wrong cover & metadata! I blew the buck to find out for sure, and it is indeed. Thanks for figuring that out!
I can't find any either (apart from NF:Treason and that won't last much longer). IIRC, in previous years, on Amazon UK, the monthly Trek offers have stopped at the end of November. Sometimes they restart in the New Year, sometimes they don't.
Having said all that... The first 12 Star Trek: S.C.E. novellas have just appeared on Amazon UK for 99p each.
I bought Imzadi Forever a few sales ago when the Signature Editions went on sale. Both books are in there but the pagination is something else... Every single page of Imazdi II is listed as page 343!
The Autobiography of James T. Kirk appears to currently be on sale for $1.99 (at least in Canada, anyway). Not sure how long it will last.
Hey all, A correction December's Trek ebook deals last until January 5, 2020. For some reason the deals page was changed when I posted. Just wanted everyone to know. All the best. Best wishes and Happy Holidays to all on the forums. -Koric
...and I've already missed it. :/ I had foolishly assumed the sale would last through the holidays and planned to get this together with some of the December S&S deals.
