I'm enjoying this series so far... it's good to finally watch a Star Wars project that actually feels like... STAR WARS. No woke preaching or any other agenda driven drivel ala the new Trilogy, just a person's journey and watching the obstacles that person has to take in order to earn his rewards.

Ok, I have to say that. I dont care about the Holy Canon or the Mandalorian traditions. I just want to see Pedro Pascal's face from time to time. I got bad feeling about his acting talents wasted in this 24/7 helmet.

    I have spoken.

"Mandos never take their helmets off" is not something from canon. If it were, we'd have no idea what Sabine, Bo Katan or Pre Vizla looks like. I think it's either something specific to this character, or this specific tribe he seems to have been raised by.
That they call themselves a Tribe, not a Clan or a House is a clue that they're outsiders from most of Mandalorian society. If I had to guess, I'd say they're what's left of the Deathwatch types; Ultra hardcore orthodox, borderline cultists dedicated to the ancient warrior traditions.

So based on dialogue, the Mandalorian’s ship isn’t called the ‘Razor Crest’, that’s actually the model/class name.

    Oh buzz off.

That's a load of crap. Having a female protagonist is not woke, any more than having a male protagonist is "unwoke."

Nope. Otherwise people would be complaining about the liberal politics of the OT, it's pro Vietnam message, and use of indigenous peoples to defeat an evil empire (America). Or, Lucas himself comparing a President and Vice President to the villains of his films.

Politics is in the essence of SW. It's not new, nor offensive.

No they wouldn't. That's silly. Nothing is more prevalent right now than the "we can't offend anyone/ leave anyone out" vibe than in today's Twitter world

Can we please just leave that out of this thread, please, please, please, pllllleeeeaaaassssseeee. I would like at least one Star Wars thread that doesn't get bogged down in this same argument that never actually goes anywhere. Every time this comes up it seems the exact same arguments, practically word for word, are made, with no change and it it's getting, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really old, and I'm getting really, really, really, really, really sick of it. I like coming here, and talking about Star Wars, and I'd really hate having to stop just because people can't not start this same fucking argument over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, in every single Star Wars thread.
I was a little confused by that, the promotional stuff made it sound like that was the ship's name, but then in the first episode they talked about it being the model or class instead of that individual ship's name.

The original was 50 minutes per episode (Yes, they had a lot less commercials in those days.)

I agree.. I like the Mandalorian.. feels like a live action comic book in a way that even the MCU films don't.. it's a story, a side story, it's got some suspense. I feel like a kid watching it. Jawas were always a favorite culture of mine and they did some great jawa stuff

God, can we talk about Star Wars and leave out the political/“woke”/identity politics crap? It is possible to do so, FFS. I’m really getting tired of this!

What’s offensive about striving to not leave people out?

And you agree that Baby Yoda is a total Mary Sue for being able to use Force powers as a baby?

It’s not just you. I’ve been guilty of it too. And there’s a lot of others too. I would like one thread, though, just ONE THREAD without any of the words I mentioned. Is that possible (he asks directing to all)?
