That's not a new video. It's from years ago. They haven't done anything with Axanar in a while.

Is Axanar still without a production accountant, does anyone know?

Now that Robert Evans passed away (Gods Speed Sir) they could do Urban Space boy as a plot driver.

Right they don't have any of that, but still keep sending emails asking for more money. AP should be held to the same guidelines as the other fan filmmakers, $50000 for the 2 segments, I'd love to see what he would do with that kind of a budget.

I think other filmmakers are also free to do private donations via email. As far as I understand from the guidelines, the limit is using platforms like Kickstarter, which AP is no longer allowed to by the settlement.

@Professor Zoom You're probably right about the guidelines. I'm just so disgusted that AP is trying to raise even more money after already spending what he already raised for things not related to making the movie.

    It is disgusting.
But, I'm more disappointed/disgusted by the people who--with all of the evidence staring them in the face--still give him money. Fools and their money...

I agree, it is so disgusting. I started to sense something was wrong when I read the last annual report and saw that there had been salaries taken, and line items for auto and cell phones. What really did it in for me was when Christian Gossett left, and AP's behavior after the lawsuit. Mainly what he did to donors who were asking for their money back. I believe somebody talked bout that in the previous thread on here. Those three things just made me stop and think, and made me realize what exactly was going on. I went back looked at all the evidence, read some articles on Axamonitor and that version of events just seemed to make better sense to me. I can't believe people are giving him more money either. It's not worth arguing over, people can do what they want.

The problem is - I'm sure a lot of new donors don't know the history of the project. They look at Prelude, and then see the "CBS doesn't want this made..." and "CBS sued Alec peters to bankrupt him and make sure this didn't get made..." (That's based on the current line of daily e-mails Peters is churning out.)

I'm sure any who do any sort of cursory look into the actual history of the project or Alec Peters stop short of doing a donation; and that's why he's gone to daily e-mails because the cash flow has greatly diminished - and whomever paid for the last shoot (it wasn't Alec using any of his money); is probably pressuring Alec for some form of repayment (which was what Alec claimed was promised to the person).

In the latest e-mail Alec claims he's put $200,000 of his own money into the studio and Axanar since 2016 (Interesting since the court document showed he got close to $2 million in donations) - where did the other 90% go if he actually put his own money in?:wtf::rommie:

I always took "private donations" as being from someone you know personally, like your Best Man at your wedding or a rich Uncle George, not some strangers you contacted via e-mail.........

In this day and age, not knowing something is a google search away. Finding information about something has become the easiest thing in the world.

But you still have to have the motivation to do it. Many don't and that's where Peters still gets the bulk of his current donations.

I still have a hard time being sympathetic. You're giving your money to someone, you can't be absolved of responsibility because you couldn't be bothered to do a google search.

Yep. Hell, consider all the people who ask this or that in your life, you do the stupid Googling for them, and then feel like a sucker for doing so. Hence, https://lmgtfy.com/
