The rub is that Larkin should've figured that out before experimenting on them.

I'm sure its covered in the 20 pages, but doesn't this completely screw up ENT continuity with Tribbles, and maybe even the OG episode?

    Yes. No. Maybe?

It is entertaining, which is a huge step up from Discovery.

Mileage may vary seems to be the best answer. As far as I can tell, there's stuff that doesn't fit very well on the surface, but there are workarounds to reconcile everything.

I think ENT was already the reboot, caused by FC, which is why the TC was even happening and involving ENT to begin with - because they were the first butterfly. Then they found Borg tech, and diverted all the way to DISCO.

I'd love someone to tie the temporal cold war into the Kelvinverse and stopping the destruction of Romulus, via Future Guy.

ST:FC was part of history all along. And therefore, so was ENT.

You can't prove they weren't, anyway.

Seems like lots of folks have their opinions set in stone. On both sides.

The mutiny bit never bothered me much, as Spock's specific denial of it ever having been recorded meshes nicely with the idea that "off the record" mutinies with dropped charges or overturned sentences don't count.

However, I vastly prefer the interpretation where Spock's "Absolutely no record of such an occurrence" is dripping with sarcasm, in response to Chekov's original jab at Spock being a famous violent mutineer from a family of famous violent mutineers.

Would Larkin count? Perhaps Starfleet simply is in a habit of not allowing records of mutinies to exist...

TMP is also a reboot too. And TWOK. V'Ger started it by sending the signal to the Borg causing the temporal cascade.

How is there enough food for tribbles to fill the ship that rapidly?

Probably the raw stores that the fabricators use to make food.

.... and you can't prove they were? There has to be a version of events that occured cleanly before any time travel or interference took place, IMO. We also have the new need to explain visual discontinuity. Clearly the Borg remnants on ENT shouldn't be there, so the timeline has been corrupted once already. There is entire time war centering on that time period as well. At this point, how can anything have "always been part of history"....? The timeline has been corrupted repeatedly. On top of that, wasn't the NX01 supposed to have been lost? The Borg incursion started a chain of events in FC that has led to ENT and the TC and now DSC, thus explaining all visual and background discontinuity and solving the canon issue. It doesn't get any more logical than that. Shoot, I bet the first time around the NX01 was actually *called* Discovery, until the "E" corrupted cochrane with tales from the future about ships named Enterprise....

    Don't have to.

No, there actually doesn't. That's why they call it a predestination paradox.

No more so than, say, when a character is recast.

When Robin Curtis started playing Saavik, do we have to explain THAT? No, we do not. Same story here.
