Must've been. The same for Phlox's. I guess that explains why neither had any concern for the tribbles overbreeding.
I think I liked Q & A Better, but that was a very weird (In a good way) episode. The commercial at the end was the icing on the cake.
This was so, so, so, so much fun. I'm not sure I've ever wanted a tribble origin story, but now I'm so glad we got one.
Great fun! Just a light ep to have a good laugh. Nothing serious. I like it. Enterprise looked great in the opening shot.
That was great. Much better than the last one. I like this uniform variant better than the regular Disco style. Maybe a change is coming?
An excellent short trek and a nice experiment using this format. Also, it was nice to learn about the origin... The Klingon reference was a nice nod to Trials & Tribble-ations
The sad tragedy is that the tribbles on their home world obliterated by the Klingons were not the Frankenfood variety created by Edward.
For myself, the origin story of the tribbles remains the "The Trouble with Tribbles". The tribbles were still a threat, without being genetically modified with Human DNA. This is stated in the above episode, where it was noted in the absence of predators the tribbles multiply prodigiously. Their being born pregnant was a defense against extinction. Thinking of Edward,
I thought this was a fun little mini episode. Assuming you didn't dig too deeply into it most other people would enjoy it too. Lets be honest, if the tribbles are reproducing that rapidly, vent the ship. As far as we know they cant survive in a vacuum. Someone else mentioned the bigger name actors popping up in this, I think these little episodes are meant to be done on a low budget, so they probably just put out requests for anyone interested to do it for free. I'm sure as time goes by we'll see other bigger names popping up in these things.
Ha ha, this was funny, especially the ending. As much as I like Spock and Number One, this Short Treks was better. P.S. How the bloody hell did Edward EVER make it into Starfleet? He's a walking disaster and insubordinate to boot. Don't they do psych evals? Guess not. Barclay got in and they were similar, only Barclay was less antagonistic.
That was fun. The cast was great. I'd have liked to see them again. The tribbles may be the only species that's more cartoonish in the Discoverse than in the prime universe.
