Well, obviously these awards are just given to cover up how horrible Discovery is doing for CBS ;)

In all seriousness, awesome news for Discovery. Congratulations!

Kurtzman is in cahoots with Boss Tweed from Tammany Hall. Tweed knows a guy who knows a guy, and you know the rest.

    Secret handshake

'Best Streaming Science Fiction Action and Fantasy Series' seems oddly specific.

They split the categories up between mainstream and broadcast. See this thread from July.

The other contenders were The Expanse, Russian Doll, and Black Mirror, all shows I enjoy. It is an impressive win against a tough field.

Quite so. Sonequa and Doug should be rightly proud.

Sonequa-Martin Green and Doug Jones certainly deserve accolades for their performances. Both are top notch actors.

Though, I can't agree with Discovery winning Best SciFi Fantasy or Action Streaming Series over Good Omens!

It also seems like an odd choice to differentiate Streaming TV shows from broadcast TV shows. Streaming is TV now.

I think eventually they won't differentiate, but I guess we have to go through the motions in the meantime.

Beat out The Expanse. That is special.

Congrats to SMG, Doug Jones, and DSC.
