Seems like a fairly good but short video on the production of the initial pilot episode of Star Trek.

What do you all think about it?

If this is historical, it should be using the original FX not the remastered.

He's repeating some claims that aren't factual. For instance, the old chestnut about CBS turning down Trek for Lost In Space. The "painting" he shows of the Enterprise isn't the one Jefferies presented, as it's clearly of the production ship not the approved design that went to be fabricated. He then overstates how judiciously GR followed the advice of Harvey P. Lynn, Jr. etc. etc.

    Caveat emptor.

You should probably comment on the mistakes he made on his YouTube comments for that episode.

My knowledge of the TOS production stuff and TOS era isn't great, so I would recommend that you and your more informed background make those comments since I don't have the knowledge / authoritative sources to do so.

Frankly I'm tired of doing homework for other people. That's why @Harvey and I are working on our own project based on primary sources.

    This.

I enjoy writing a fact check as much as the next guy, but at a certain point, swatting down these old chestnuts just gets tedious. I'd rather focus on what @Maurice and I have cooking up.
