I've recently started adding to my Start Trek ornament collection. My first ever and still favorite is the Shuttlecraft Galileo. Since then, I've added some of the more modern ones like Kirk and the Tribbles, Klingon Bird of Prey and a few others. Are there any others you'd recommend as must-haves?

This is back in 2013 when I was redoing my office space. There are 20 here; I have since acquired 6 more. Ships only. Specs below.

Wow that’s an amazing collection! Thanks for sharing that - lots of great ideas there. Do they all take the same type of light socket? I find myself keeping an older string of lights for some of these. They don’t fit with modern lights.

I have removed all the electrical connections and no longer hang them on a tree as there are too many. I an currently creating a wall-mounted holder for them

We bring them out every Christmas.

I've got the Enterprise-E (1998), the Communicator (2008), and the Starfleet phaser (2009)

The Enterprise-E is my favorite, but it sucks the electrical connection isn't compatible with the lights in newer trees :(

Correction: I just ordered the 40th anniversary Star Trek: The Motion Picture Hallmark Enterprise refit ornament and it should be in Monday :D

Isn't this just a matter of removing the 'socket' from the ornament and running the two wires through a socket from the 'newer' light set? I've had to do that with several ornaments / light sets over the years.

Theoretically... yes. But I have a way of looking up exactly how to do something, and I still manage to screw it up :)

Well, I received my TMP Enterprise refit ornament today. And it is now my favorite Star Trek ornament. This may be nerdy, but at several points today I may have pressed the button that lights up the deflector and warp nacelles and flew it around the house

It is the best. The earlier refit was hand sculpted. This looks like a 3D print may have been used somewhere along the lines.

Am I the only one who finds the character ornaments more tempting that the ship ornaments? I don't have any ship ornaments, but I do have Khan, McCoy, Uhura, etc.

Just noticing that there seems to be more discussions of the ships . . ..

Admittedly, unrepentantly personal bias here, but I like 2018's M'Ress ornament the best.

Rest of forum: "Gee, we never would have guessed..."

My globe is sort of an inside-out ornament (Christmas lights on the inside...get it?) :rommie: I'm still waiting for the Henoch ornament...my luck, they'll call it the Sargon ornament. :censored:

I also like the crew ornaments, but I never buy any for myself and the few times I get them as a gift, it's usually one of the ships.

Yes, I heard Sargon and his "fam" were upset and got all upset. Here's their Xmas family photo:
