    Didn't the Nerada cross over before, at Kirk's birth? Then Spock later, around 2258.

    ...And everything was already a-changed by 2258. By which we mean "San Francisco architecture was changed" and "Starfleet uniforms and sidearms looked a bit different". Apart from those, little change: we didn't see TOS starships in Kelvinverse or Kelvin starships in TOS, which in practice allows both to peacefully coexist.

    Tremendous changes to timelines tend to be limited to costuming and sometimes casting, really. Which goes well with the basic Kelvinverse premise of history wanting to unfold in a certain way regardless of time travel or the like.
