Last night dream was a bit odd. For some reason I’d followed a different path in life and was a successful geneticist working on building a human genome from scratch. In this dream I met a young lady and fell in love with her. There was some family connection to a former colleague that I didn’t much care for but learned that my sister was marrying this colleague (same sex) and that, well, it all got too weird after that. The director I worked for turned out to be my new love’s long lost father and I seemed to bounce from one consecutive ceremony to another.

Two recently with sci-fi-ish themes and indescribable and somewhat disturbing imagery. Nevertheless I'll attempt to describe the highlights.

In one, I was investigating a spaceship that had crashed due to hostile alien creatures. They were amorphous little meat things -- the closest I can think of is the flesh from Stranger Things, though not quite the same. By the time I got to the ship, though, the whole thing had been taken over. They'd congealed into one animal, absorbing the ship and so climbing into it was like climbing inside the alien.

In the other dream some people, priests of some kind perhaps, were trying to bring on the end of the world. They were in a sparking city, gathered around something deep as a pit, but manmade, round, clean, tiled. They were saying prayers and chanting, and their heads lit up as if illuminated from within, and images flashed across them, a bit like an old slideshow, but in rapid succession. It was ominous.

I had an Endgame dream, probably because I thought it was released today, but it’s out on Sunday.

I haven’t seen it it yet, but my dream version had DC characters pulled across the multiverse to help defeat Thanos. It was very convoluted.

I finally saw Endgame, and it was nothing like my dream.

Last night dream I was designing a swimming pool by committee, and later left the pool to catch a train home. The station however was very short, about two metres long and raised about ten metres off the ground to meet the tracks. There was no barrier or guard rail and it swayed significantly in the wind. It’s giving me palpitations just trying describe it. I’m not good with heights,

An odd dream. I was in the basement bathroom of my parents house of decades ago. I had more greebles than I knew what to do with--and they were all connected together as if from some sick Devo-meets-Blue-Man-Group set-up as designed by Terry Gilliam --of Brazil.

In walks a local radio personality.

I look in the mirror and I look like one of the future dye hair toughs from Frank Miller's BATMAN.

I'm rocking out--but the "equipment" doesn't actually work.

I dreamed I went to a women's right's museum, and you had to climb through and up all this convoluted piping. Some of it felt really unstable and like it was going to fall. The exhibits were really cool, though, all live staged scenes with the actors subtly changing position over time, but everything was very high up. I woke up with my hands clenched into fists because I was hanging on so tightly to the pipes.

It was a Cold War spy thriller setting, kind of colorful like the later episodes of "The Avengers." It was shaping up to be a fun and amazing adventure. I was going into a meeting with another secret agent, and we were just about to exchange passwords or whatever, to prove that we were who we said we were. Then my alarm clock went off. :(

I dreamed that I had promised to give my colleagues a lift to work after dropping the kids off at school because I wanted to ask them some questions, but I then realised that I didn’t have the car so we all had to walk.

And our dead cat came back to us, alive.

I don’t remember much of my dream from last night; I just have a sense that it was pretty epic in scope, and I was involved with some kind of organization that was trying to help out after some form of disaster. It was probably semi-inspired by watching The Expanse before bed, although I don’t believe that the dream was SF, or space-based.

I don’t know who I was supposed to be, though... the one thing I do remember is that my colleagues all called me Chris (Kris?), which is not actually my name.

I dreamed about one of my D&D characters from close to 20 years ago, which was really bizarre because I haven't thought of him or come across anything that explicitly reminded me of him in about that same amount of time. I have been thinking of writing a module, though, so maybe that was my brain's way of not so subtly prompting me to get working on it.

Right now I'm injured, and I've been dreaming about the injury being much worse than it actually is (like no doctor being able to treat it or places that don't accept my insurance), and then I wake up tired and messed up. Anyone ever experience anything like that?

Yeah. I chalk those up to anxiety dreams. In the day time, you can be rational about what you're facing and dealing with, but the subconscious worries. Also, if you're hurting at night, the dream could be trying to offer up some explanation as to why you're hurting and then exaggerating it. It happened to me when I was dealing with nerve damage in my leg mostly. It took a long time to heal-ish, never fully healed, and had wildly varying pain from twinges to feeling like I was being jabbed with hot pokers, so the dreams got pretty weird and out there, too.

In a way, it's good to have dreams like that. It means your mind is actively working to process the physical trauma. It's when the dreams are exactly like what actually happened that it indicates stuck trauma. Hope you're able to heal up and get some rest.

I have been watching a lot of B5, trying to remember it so I can talk about it on these boards. So I have been dreaming about the show and station a lot. Kind of cool.

Last night was just crazy. Lots of running around trying to fight with some other faction in the wilderness, barely surviving a rockslide, and then having a hard time deciding which staff to use, because for some reason I was carrying five of the things. Ever try to run with an armload of staffs taller than you are? Me neither, but dream me apparently wants to be an expert.

Had a pretty good one recently..
Here, somehow, I was in bed in a metal warehouse. I would try to open my eyes a bit--and could see the metal interior--but if I turned my head just a bit, I was looking out of a tent--and rain was blowing in. I could feel it on my face. Somehow--I was wafted up over a fantastic landscape with CGI characters--I could tell that they were CGI--but the terrain looked more real.
