I'm looking to purchase TNG on b/r now, and there seems to be two choices on Amazon.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BP06ENA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    https://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Ge...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HHVGTVW1VTKQ6JDNVATJ

Does anyone know the differences (if any) between these two sets? Quality in visuals, discs, packaging, etc?

I'm posting in this forum because in order to discuss Star Trek on this Star Trek message board --despite a pretty light traffic flow of users --you MUST absolute adhere to the decrees and mandates of power-tripping snowflake moderators.

    Thanks in advance!

I have the TNG Blu-ray season sets, so I'm of little help there. Though the packaging of the box set looks similar to the Enterprise/The Twilight Zone complete collections I do have, and they are garbage.

    Thanks @BillJ.

Some of the consumer reviews on Amazon (which of course can be a little sketchy...) for both products discussed problems with the packaging. I'm hoping to find out which is the lesser of two evils.

It seems like the stand-alone season b/r's are much better packaged for fans, but I'd really like to get the whole series together in one set.

And don't shit on the Mods. They agreed to do a job within a certain framework, holding posters to the framework doesn't make them "power-tripping snowflakes".

    Yeah ok.

You know, you can't have too many threads or they get condensed, moved, or closed. You can't resurrect a thread that's too old on the same topic or they get condensed, moved or closed.

It's not like this is the most heavily visited site on the Internet. There's not a ton to clean up. But whatever.

The inner case of each box set is identical. The only difference, apart from the artwork, is one is stored vertically in the box (the US release) and the other is stored horizontally in the box (the UK release).

I’m going to assume that those box sets use the insignia discs for Season 1? Otherwise it looks like CBS is just using the same discs as they used for the season sets.
