What a load of hot garbage.
Exactly. Like him or not, Kurtzman got hired by CBS for his work.

Kurtzman has nothing to do with Bad Robot.
Also what was said before, CBS hired him, he didn't ask for it.

You're not keeping up with your Midnight's Dredge and Facebook hate groups. Kurtzman's Secret Hideout is just a front for Bad Robot! Because True Fans would see the name and refuse to subscribe!

ST Picard is a perfect blend of TNG style and a fresh format that differs from brannon/braga, but injects a real modern television filming style.

I like the trailer too, but I think it is a bit early to call the show a success.

well that 2 minutes had me craving more, and no star trek trailer in recent years has done that to me. also, the look just feels right to me, whatever that means.

I get it. So far, I think it looks they'll be successfully updating '90s-era Star Trek for the '20s.

indeed! it feels like it's finally accomplishing what we all wanted which was the trek we knew but done in a way that was different and new.

I would be curious what stood out as such to you? I definitely got a 20s feel (the speakeasy gave it away) but perhaps I don't know the telltale signs of 90s Trek as well as I thought.

Will Picard be silent or will we have talkies by that point?

since it's set 30 years later ,they don't have to update TNG

Yeah, the first trailer for Beyond was pure garbage but the film itself exceeded most of my expectations and is probably my favorite Trek movie since FC. I have very warm feelings about the new series but I can't go solely on one trailer released months before the show itself premieres.

The first trailer with actual footage is rarely as good OR as bad as the finished product.
