We have our celebration on the 14th of July. We'll get fireworks too. With a ginormous one at the Eiffel Tower.

 

A/C is working. House is now cool enough to be comfy.

I'm looking forward to getting a good night's sleep.

 

Just got back from a wonderful trip to the Dominican Republic! It was hot but also amazing. There had been a lot of negative news stories about the DR in the past couple of months, but those didn't represent the people of the DR at all. They were very kind, hospitable and easy-going. Hope to go back sometime!

 

First time I saw my house from the top of a hill! It's fantastic!

 

My daughter and her family made it safely back home from Vegas today!

 

Looked behind the lazy susan in the house I bought three months ago. Free tubberware!

 

I spent most of the day at my sister's house. Watched a season six episode of Star Trek DS9 (Captain Sisko wants to reclaim Terok Nor from the Cardassians/Dominion.) Played some video games with the niece and introduced her to Life Is Strange.

I am guessing "Nor" means space station, so what do Empok and Terok mean?

 

We don't know for sure, although I've always suspected that they're numerical designations (the suffix "ok" may be the Cardassian equivalent of "th", as in 4th, 5th, 6th, etc.).

 

I woke up at 1 am with a bad migraine and had some headache drops and a slice of pudding with brambles for a belated midnight snack.
Woke up at 4:45 again and the migraine was gone =). And there's more pudding with brambles for breakfast

 

I now have access to most of the creative tools I need and inspiration is flowing after coming in trickles for a while now.

 

I was browsing through CDs at the local Half Price Books and stumbled upon an old "Cosmos" soundtrack. For only $20. (it's $75 on Amazon.) WHEE!

 

I'm pretty sure I still have that 12-inch.

Today I went to the local market, it was exhilarating. It's very different from the ones in my former place. All sorts of new local products and fish. I am not ready to cook a Bouillabaisse yet though.

 

Yea Techmatte! I'm still covered warranty wise by them, so I placed an order for a replacement set of screen protectors (for my Nintendo Switch). Just in case.
