Just finished watching it and here my biggest takeaways:
    • We still don't know who Hiroyuki Sanada is playing in the film and he only ever referred the role in his interview as "my character." Considering how secretive his role appears to be, he has to be some known character, but who? Long shot: Adam Warlock (yes, I know he's set up for Vol. 3 and not Endgame).
    • Gwyneth Paltrow had a bit of slip of the tongue moment when talking about her last filmed scene, referring to something about a big gathering at a lake. Not sure if it's an actual filmed scene and Favreau and Downey Jr. were just ribbing her or if it was simply a gathering of cast and crew.
    • Natalie Portman was at the premiere but wasn't interviewed, although a bunch of people weren't interviewed who were there (undoubtedly due to time constraints). She's probably just there in support of the film like Emma Lahana and Ally Maki from Cloak & Dagger, but who knows...
    • A couple who cosplayed as Peggy and Steve got engaged for real towards the end of the event. It was very sweet.
    • The whole event was so much fun to watch because everyone there was so excited to be there to finally see the film. I can't wait!

I wouldn't be surprised if they threw in a Jane Foster cameo. Apparently, there's supposed to be a lot of surprising faces in this movie. Frank Grillo, who played Crossbones and is also an executive producer on the movie, let slip about a surprising character that I never expected to see again whose actor they managed to get for a day of filming.

Possibly. Conversely, I saw a headline from a reputable source (I forget who) that reported that
Stellan Skarsgård said he's not in it.

Going tonight to watch a double bill of Infinity War and Endgame.

This is a mistake because I couldn’t get premium seats and standard sucks.

In fact, premium seats in the UK are sure compared to what I can only describe as the bed I got to sit in when watching Aquaman in SAN Francisco in December.

I will need a cushion and probably a catheter.

Saw it earlier today. Epic is a word to describe this. Won't say anything else, as I won't spoil for those who still wait a few days. Gonna see again at some stage, as just awesome. Might do so on Friday afternoon.

On the movies beforehand, I watched infinity wars last night, a number of them last week before I went away.

Wow. It's the exact movie I wanted without knowing what it was I wanted.

Such a good companion to Infinity War, and so many specific references to previous movies as a great way of bringing us full circle. I was surprised by so many things in this film that I won't make any spoiler references to the film even though we're in a spoiler thread. :)

Amazing end to this chapter of the MCU. I expected Captain Marvel to have a bigger role, but I guess it was fitting for this to be mostly about the original Avengers.

So that's how Loki comes back..

Saw it last night, and I wasn't that impressed. There was definitely things I liked about, all the stuff with Stark, Thor and Romanov, and I also liked Nebula's arc, but without moving into spoiler territory a lot of the stuff that should have resonated with me really didn't.

Overall the film felt messy and like the russos were rushing to get it all done. It didn't help that the cinema i was in didn't have working air conditioning and was slowly becoming a sauna. I also I think at this point I'm pretty burnt out on marvel films, never thought I'd say this but i don't really find them enjoyable any more. I'm going to see it again next week with some friends who couldn't make it last night, so we'll see if a second viewing changes things.

That was a fantastic ride. A lot of story which makes it a mess if too much thought is given to it. However, for an ending to the main Avengers that was a good film.

Thor drinks Irn Bru. He’s officially my favourite now. :)
It’s good movie but I’m confused with Cap’s choice on who should hold the mantle next. Wouldn’t Bucky make more sense? I have no problem with Falcon but he doesn’t feel like he could handle a movie on his own.

So is Thor going to be in Guardians 3?

Too late and tired to fully process it but wow. The last battle was everything Comic book fans have been waiting 11 years for and more. The ending was happy and sad all mixed into one and was the perfect note to end an amazing journey.

I just want to thank Marvel/Disney for this decade long ride and the best Cinematic Universe we will probably ever get to see.

Problem with her is that’s she way too OP. I’m glad Thanos eventually got the upper hand on her.

Is Captain Marvel that more OP'd than Thor though? They both have a the ability to blow up ships single-handedly. The movie is such a blur right now that I can't really remember what she did during the battle apart from blow up Thanos's ship fight him a bit and then get power-stoned in the face. I agree though, I did like that Thanos was able to go toe to toe with her eventually.
