And Colt was never addressed by name in either this or the previous episode, yet was there in the credits. I tried spotting the actress who plays her (presumably on the bridge somewhere), but I couldn't see her.

There will be complaints no matter what.

What they are not respecting is 50+ years of fan interpretation and ancillary material. The spirit of Trek is very much alive here.

I tend to admire them more when they address some of the obvious solutions in dialogue e,g,
We'll beam over and stop the countdown.
    We can't. ;-p

What we got wasn't terrible, but many of the fan suggestions actually sounded better than what we ended up with.

Well, it might explain her strong female drives.

Suggestions usually do. I'm more skeptical about the execution.

Things happen with no explanatory technobabble: "We need to know how it happened. Give us an explanation!"

Skimming through this thread and I'm not really seeing any totally comprehensive explanation as to why they still had to maroon themselves in the future when Control was already down. This hadn't initially bothered me because I'd assumed, while watching the episode, that they wanted to ensure the Sphere data never fell into the wrong hands... but the more you think about that, the less sense it makes.

Was there an in-episode explanation as to why the jump still had to go ahead after Georgiou took Control out?

I have no problems with making Colt an alien.

However, doing so after making such a fuss over canon while serving such a nonsensical salmagundi of a plot just to make the pieces fit really presents a lack of credibility and authenticness on the part of the writers and production team.

    Several more things:

Vulcan high five is a real thing, at least between spock and michael.

Terrans have read Sun Tzu Art of warfare.

If Georgriou is now on the future Disco, when is the Sec 31 show taking place? Michelle signed on for the Sec 31 show, so that doesn't make sense.

Will they give us 3-4 shows in a yr so we don't have to wait a yr between seasons: Disco, Sec 31, Pike/enterprise, Picard show. They are about to start filming Picard show, and just started writing for disco S3.

I, for one, LIKE technobabble. And Discovery has a way of being less ridiculous with the execution than Voyager was.

I'm just happy that the current arc is over and that the timeline is now "restored". Discovery is now in the future, we will finally get away from this time period and go forward.
This season would be pretty good if they saved this arc for last 2 or 3 episodes. It doesn't really need to be this long. They can also tell some things by personal logs and save time but at the same time tell the part of the story.

I enjoyed The Batle of Four Armies and the "promise of the new premise", but as it is usual with Discovery, storytelling kinda suuuuuucks! And a lot of that has to do with the dealing with Red Angel storyline. First they´ll shock audience that it is Michael. Than it´s actually Mama Burnham. Than Michael is Red Angel 2.0 (at least it´s explained somehow), except as others said, we are not sure, how she stopped Ba´ul (except some general idea that incursion itself put havoc in their technology) and... So she was the one on the asteroid. Which makes the whole thing about Mama Burnham repeatedly saving Michael´s life even mor flimsy.

My memories of Mass Effect have come to life once again, as the fight Nhan and Georgiou vs. Leland kinda reminded me boss battle with RoboSaren.

As always, the emotional resonance and fanwank work well, but it could have been so much more.... Well, my father will definitely look forward to season 3 very much.

No, she just went back to the bridge and let Leland beat the crap out of Georgiou.
