Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 2x13 - "Such Sweet Sorrow"

If by "filler" you mean moments that help fill out the characters.

 

They helped fill out the runtime, not sure I found out anything about the characters that I didn't already know.

 

What can I say, I like character stuff.

 

I like character stuff too, to a degree. But I also like to advance the plot. Probably "To the Death", did it best with the small scene between Dax and O'Brien about leaving messages behind.

 

The plot was advanced. The non character stuff was all set up for the next episode.

 

We'll have to agree to disagree. Even my wife, who likes the show, was rolling her eyes at it.

 

For minor stuff that any reasonable person can conclude happened offscreen? No. Not really.

 

I just did my rewatch. Most of the episode seemed to be about get the pieces where they need to be: Pike on the E. Spock and the Disco team on the D with the RA suit. Tyler off to do something They also spent a fair amount of time developing the plan and the tech to make the plan work. The character stuff didn't seem to take up that much time.

 

I'm sure I'll rewatch it somewhere down the road. I'll have to re-examine my thoughts at that point.

 

Wait... George Takei wasn't the main star?

 

Kirk wasn't a drip.

Too much loud dramatic music. It was drowning in it

 

I can't even remember Poe, I need to rewatch season 1.

I like the point of continuity "We'll never use the holographic communication again!" At least they're trying.

Good episode overall, but feels like a linker episode between action and action.

She's not in Season 1 or Season 2. You'll have to watch Short Bus Trek

 

Oh, there are exclusive shorts for Discovery that are canon and important in the main story? *grumble* Where do I find them?
