Earth is backwoods to her. Really Earth’s only decent contribution to the galaxy seems to be music and bits of junk like Zunes.

Just out of curiosity, what is it about the Fantastic Four that makes people want to see their movie set in the '60s? The comics have continued with them in the present day, and it doesn't seem to have been an issue.

For a retro Fantastic Four vibe, watch The Incredibles.

I want it to start in the 60s, but they end up in the present. Mainly to deal with the shift in values and maybe toss in some retro space age gadgets for fun. I want Reed to see a world of iPhones and wonder where are the jet packs, Moon vacations and robot butlers.

Alternatively set it in a parallel universe for the first time.
It would be the present but as imagined by people in the sixties?
And by the end they cross over to the Avengers universe.

Kurt Russell was great as Ego in Guardians 2 but I really wish they had kept Quill's original her to an alien empire backstory. There's so much more you could do with that while the Ego backstory is essentially dead and buried.

If this was a television series, I'd agree. But for a movie franchise that will span, what, maaaybe 4 (non Avengers) movies with this cast, I don’t think moving on is a problem.

I deeply appreciated the notion that Ego was a Boltzmann brain. I take it that was not the case in the original comicbooks?

A GOTG tv series would be great. Part stargate sg-1 part Farscape

The producers likely wouldn't be able to afford the movie actors, who might not want to do TV in any case, so new actors would have to be cast -- although that's not really a problem for Rocket and Groot. The FX would also be inordinately expensive as both Rocket and Groot are CGI characters. The idea is great but I doubt it's ever going to happen. Cartoon series maybe...
