I wouldn't put it that way. All science fiction is real science fiction. Trek tends to be Science FICTION rather than SCIENCE Fiction.

 

Nah, It was everything from pulp stuff like Burroughs to the drier stuff like Asimov.

While I can't exactly place Star Trek's spot on the vast spectrum of Science Fiction, at least I can say that Michael Rennie was ill the day the earth stood still, but he told us where we stand
