Not necessarily. People could keep avoiding this episode for many more times than 79. Just as it could be the right answer twice in a row.

Not Catspaw nor Spock's Brain. Both were good guesses, but not it.

2nd Clue: The ship had two of these?

    Wow. Nice reasoning job!

That was my next guess but I was away from a keyboard all day Wednesday and couldn't enter it.

Argh!!! Those are really good clues. I am mad at myself because I knew "face plant" was going to be a pun and I should have remembered those lines about the Black Knight. Good job.

Hmm, sounds like Wolf in the Fold. Hengist is the possible dead man walking as there's a debate about whether he was possessed or just a dead body that Redjac animated, and the ship having two of something could refer to Hengist grabbing the knife (after being "reanimated") when it seemed to be elsewhere during the rest of the briefing room scene.

    The Alternative Factor?
The 2 Lazaruses, and one of them is doomed to die at the hands of the other at some point.

Not Wolf in the Fold. Not Alternative Factor.
I still think the face plant clue better fit Angela's face plant into the tree. We've discussed that scene on these boards many times as to whether she just runs into the tree, or she is machine gunned down by the Zero. Alas, I was wrong, but still WON!

No Enemy Within for the enemy is all around.

Wolf in the Fold was already guessed and rejected. Since this is a repeat answer, I think you can guess again right away.

I'll go with The Savage Curtain. Lincoln walks with the spear in his back and then collapses (with some awesome drama). Evil destroys him, and Surak. Uhura gives Lincoln an (unfortunately offscreen - I would have loved to see that) tour of engineering, which could refer to the ongoing debate about how many engine rooms the Enterprise had.

Great logic. Your are so close, Phase, but still wrong. Not "Curtain" but savage all the same. Yes, the debate on many engine rooms, continues.

Consider it a commentary on the caliber of the posters playing :techman:

    The Way to Eden

    1st Clue: Dead man walking?
Dr Severin is a carrier of a deadly disease that will ultimately decimate any back-to-nature colony that is founded.
2nd Clue: The ship had two of these?
    Galileo II - nuff said
    3rd Clue: Evil destroys Good.
    Good

Another great guess with impeccable logic, but nope, wrong way with Eden. :weep: TOS, like the Bible, really liked stories about good and evil. Angels and Devils.

4th Clue: Good shall always destroy evil.

    Summary:
    1st Clue: Dead man walking?
2nd Clue: The ship had two of these?

    - Yes, the debate on many engine rooms, continues.
    3rd Clue: Evil destroys Good.
    - ...for the enemy is all around.
    - ...but savage all the same.
4th Clue: Good shall always destroy evil.

I'm the master. A new clue lets you go again, if you want.
    Summary:
1st Clue: Dead man walking? :wtf:
2nd Clue: The ship had two of these?

    - Yes, the debate on many engine rooms, continues.
    3rd Clue: Evil destroys Good.
    - ...for the enemy is all around.
    - ...but savage all the same.
4th Clue: Good shall always destroy evil.
    - Bible

Yeah, the subclues are truly great.

    Okay, Day of the Dove.

-Johnson should have been dead but he's up and about.
-If all but 38 crewmen were trapped "below decks" then that should have included any engineering room in the secondary hull, but of course Engineering is shown and is decidedly not cut off. Accordingly, engineering had to be in the primary hull. Complicating things is the entity seen leaving the secondary hull at the end. So maybe there were two engine rooms, which doesn't really solve the issue, but could help ID the episode.
-The entity seems to be all about the good/evil dichotomy.
-Scotty refers to the Klingons as "devils."

    Space Seed?

    1st Clue: Dead man walking?
Khan had been presumed dead centuries earlier
2nd Clue: The ship had two of these?
    - Yes, the debate on many engine rooms, continues.
Kirk & Khan fight in the engine room
    3rd Clue: Evil destroys Good.
    - ...for the enemy is all around.
    - ...but savage all the same.

Khan and his followers take over the ship so are all around and fairly savage
4th Clue: Good shall always destroy evil.
    - Bible
    - Angels and Devils

Khan is exiled to Ceti Alpha VI, cast down like the angel Lucifer to reign in hell

    @Phaser Two
Day of the Dove goes one further: It implies a second ladder in Engineering.
