I know I probably don't even need to bring it up but....if anyone hears anything about the status of the novel contract please feel free to share I'm not sure if it will be discussed at all but any little tidbits would be appreciated.
Thanks I did the math (I entered that into the google search bar) and apparantly it also starts at 10pm CEST.
That's what I'm afraid of. I frankly don't really expect much if any news about books but I'll take any dribs and drabs they offer up. Soon we may have to start a 2020 books thread (sadly I don't even feel like that's joking anymore )
I'd be absolutely shocked if we didn't at least get an estimation of when we'll get start getting, if not a full on 2019 release schedule. I just can't see them doing a panel like the one at 1:00 without them addressing the future of the line in some way. We've already gotten hints from authors like @Dayton Ward and @David Mack that things were in were the works at Pocket so it seems unlikely that the novels will be ending or moving. We've also seen the books adjusted to fit things like Enterprise and Nemesis, and I don't think there was anything in Discovery that the books can't be adjusted to fit, so I can't really see them ending the novelverse either,
Yeah, I understand people are expecting a lot, but if they are coming out and saying a deal is worked out, I think it's going to be late 2019 at the earliest before we get anything. And that's me being optimistic
I was speculating a while back that the license had already been agreed and they were waiting for Pocket to sort out author contracts and a schedule before making any announcement.
Good news! There will be a fourth Star Trek: Discovery novel focusing on Tilly written by @Una McCormack !!!!
