I know I sound like a broken record about this point, but I'm so tired of teasers for trailers.

But it's good to know another trailer is coming out. I guess someone read Ethros. ;)

Yeah but I don't wanna see it! (so to not be overly spoilt for the movie) So here's to 6 weeks of being very careful on the internet then

btw, is Peter Dinklage still in these movies? I wonder if he'll be in this trailer in some shape or form. It's just apart from initial announcement aaaaages ago, I can't think of a single mention of him anywhere. Maybe he's only in Avengers 4?

I keep debating whether it not to watch it for the reasons you mentioned before. But who am I kidding? Of course, I'm going to watch it. I have no self-control.

I was just wondering myself this last night. I sure hope he is, even if the film already feels wonderfully overstuffed with no room for new characters. We have to get Adam Warlock at least, right?

Or perhaps, as you suggest, Dinklage has been pushed back to the sequel like Captain Marvel was?

The problem for me is often after seeing a trailer (esp now movies have at least two, maybe three trailers- I remember Days of Future Past did) is you can kinda piece the movie together. Quite often while you're watching it.

For example in the Force Awakens trailer there's the Millennium Falcoln flying around a desert chased by TIE fighters. So when watching the movie as soon as Rey & Finn were on the desert planet sitting around in the Falcon, I was thinking "... some TIE fighters are gonna show up in a minute and chase them." And sure enough that's exactly what happened.
Bit near the end in some snowy woods- "oh this is where that clip of Kylo Ren getting out his fancy lightsabre is from. He's gonna show up and fight Rey in a bit." And sure enough that's what happened.

Just that kinda thing. It's not the end of the world and you can still enjoy the movie.. but still..

If we're getting Warlock I don't think we'll see him till Avengers 4. I really don't think we'll see him at all though and that they save him for GotG 3. I'm curious how they fit his homie Pip in though. I figured you can't have one without the other

Yeah, I've noticed that tendency in my viewing as well, especially for trailers I watched repeatedly, which I often do with films like Marvel's.

On the other hand, there are moments that never appear (most recently the ant analogy in A Wrinkle in Time), whether they were cut or never intended to be used in the film. Of course, that could lead to a false expectation or changes how one thought the film would develop for that moment, depending on the person and such.

There have been theories that Dinklage is playing Pip, although there's no reason he can't play Warlock.

While I won't be surprised if Warlock doesn't appear in this film, I'll be surprised if he doesn't appear in the sequel. The timing of the Easter Egg would suggest he would appear here. Besides, does he have any connection to the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics? It's been my impression that he's best known for his connection to the Infinity Gems.

I think Warlock was a member in their post 90s incarnation

"Oh, we're using our made-up names? Then I'm Spider-Man."

Looks like Tony has met his match in ego and grand planning.

No sign of Dinklage, but no surprise there.

Except that's not what happens in the movie. We don't even see the Falcon for the first time until Rey and Finn are running from the TIEs.

I fully agree with your point though.

As usual, Captain America is--by far--the best thing about the MCU.

I'm not positive, but I think they've already said we won't see Adam Warlock until Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Trailer was pretty good, love the made up names bit, and Iron Man and Star Lord debating plans.
We also did get a bit more plot details this time.

Best guess for Dinklage is still as a voice for one of the Black Order. Probably Ebony Maw, the persuader. I can totally hear that one in my head.

As for Warlock, I doubt we're getting him. But he absolutely has a tie to the Guardians, he FOUNDED the current incarnation of the team. He convinced Star-Lord and the others to join him in a mission to save the universe, and was either a member or antagonist, as his evil alter-ego Magus, for the entirety of the first run of the Star-Lord/Rocket/Groot/Drax/Gamora team (along with Bug the Micronaut, Cosmo the dog, Jack Flag, Quasar/Martyr Phyla Vel, Moondragon and others). Basically from after Annihilation: Conquest through The Thanos Imperative.

Ah, thanks for the background on Warlock, flavaflav and Xerxes. My knowledge of him is limited to the early 90s stuff. In light of that, I guess he probably won't appear in this film or the sequel.

There are reports that he had red hair, so I'm going with Pip the Troll.

If he is playing Pip, then it would be weird not to have Warlock.

While I'm leaning in favor of Dinklage playing Pip, another possibility is Eitri the Dwarf King of the Asgardian nine realms. The dwaves are master forgers, and Thor does find himself with a new weapon in this movie.
