Does Disney XD actually show different content in Canada then in the US? Because I totally had Spider-Man on Disney XD instead.

I guess so. Anyway, you'd probably better avoid this thread for a week or so if you're spoiler-phobic, because some really big stuff happened in these two episodes. For now, I'll just say that Vanessa Marshall really knocked it out of the park with her performance.

As I said earlier in the thread, it’s delayed by a week in Canada

Not sure how anyone is going to be able to avoid that spoiler for a week or so....

Well that was a dramatic improvement over the first half of the season (which was still good, but felt lacking in some way.) Solid character development all around, even with the villains, we got some more weird force/wolf shenanigans that indicates we're still not done with the old Jedi temple. Interestingly, the concept art the official site posted for the episode shows the keystone with a much more elaborate design than what we saw. It includes the Mortis trinity, the five priestesses, what I can only assume is the temple before it was abandoned and a fourth hand sigh. I'm assuming the three we saw are representative of the trinity; the closed fist is the son/dark side, the open offered hand is the daughter/light side and the raised hand is the father/balance.

Not sure what the fourth hand is exactly. I think in classical art it's used as a sign if declamation, so maybe the priestess(es), since she seems to be a teacher or sorts. It may not matter as they don't show it in the episode and I can't see it as part of the mural we saw in the trailer.

A little bit surprised at the Kanan/Hera relationship stuff. I guess I've just taken it as read all this time that they're already in a committed, and the show was keeping it on the DL because: Disney show.

For a start, they should probably stay out of this spoiler thread! ;)

Well there are spoilers and there are spoilers. "Luke goes to a swamp planet to train as a Jedi" isn't in the same league as "I am your father".

And I'll second how good Vanessa Marshall was.

I wonder if Kanan would've thrown Pryce out of the window, had she been there.

Same here. Actually I thought it was more than implied in the first season that they were a couple already. Season 4 seemed to back track on that.

Also according to the Episode guide, one of Zeb's lines originally referenced 'The Search for Spock'

Not to go all Nick Meyer on them but

If they bring him back now I'll spit. They can't toy with us like that.

Why would they? It the end of the show and it fulfills Yoda declaration to Luke that he is the last Jedi. Now lets see what happens with Ezra, we know the Emperor himself gets involved from the trailer (unless its a dream).

I keep wanting to say that Ezra isn't technically a Jedi because he was only Kanan's apprentice, but then I remember that he got a lot more Jedi training than Luke did, even if it was mainly from an ungraduated Padawan. So maybe he walks away from the Order like Ahsoka did. Maybe he finds that his destiny is to stay and help Lothal while others fulfill their destiny to fight the Empire.

I'm not surprised. When the Lothwolf said "DUME", I figured out later that we were simply misunderstanding him and he was saying "DOOM", as a warning.

A warning --as I recall -- he also gave to Ezra.....

I noticed a scene at the end of "DUME", in the season trailer recap...
That has Kanan standing next to Ezra, in a scene yet to occur.

If we want to get technical, then yes, Ezra is not a Jedi. Indeed, even Kanan wasn't technically a Jedi until season 2 when the vision of the Grand Inquisitor (probably actually Yoda) knighted him. But all that's just semantics. Luke was never formally knighted either, but then in these situations formalities don't really matter. So yeah, Ezra is at least as much a Jedi as he was.
Ezra still probably needs to go away somehow; not because of Yoda's line in RotJ but because if he was still around at the time of the movies, they'd need a damn good reason why Ezra wasn't the one training Luke after he showed up at Yavin.

These are not mutually exclusive concepts. It's called a double meaning. Also, the episode is called 'DUME' in all caps, so yes, he's really saying Kanan's name.

If she went for a blaster, I don't see why he wouldn't.

He did say his name was "Dume". Also, it was probably a force vision of some kind since 1) Ezra woke up afterwards and 2)
So it's not like Kanan physically reincarnated as a giant wolf. That was probably just a reflection of Ezra's fear and guilt and self pity. Remember that reflections and emotional resonance are a recurring theme of force visions. Luke on Dagobah, Rey on Takodana & Ahch-To, both Kanan & Ezra in the Lothal temple and of course about 90% of what we saw in the Mortis trilogy was as much metaphor as fact.

I didn't see the episode, but I just read about the big event on IGN.
Wow, I didn't expect the to actually kill Kanan or Ezra, I figured they'd just find take them out of play, but still alive.
