Nice! I used the Galaxy class for a few days but then switched back to my go-to: a Sao Paulo class with the Upgrade skin, Belfast bridge, with late-DS9 uniforms. :bolian:

Well it helped that all the TNG anniversary stuff released went with the season 1 uniforms.

Has anyone brought one of those ships with Miracle Worker Bridge Officers? Currently grinding away for zen, so I can get one of them for one of my Klingon toons. So far got around 1960 zen, but most likely will add $10 to my account in the new year, as I don't think I'll be able to buy before I head away on Monday night.

I just bought the Tucker Tactical Miracle Worker Cruiser, primarily for it's starship trait. I've been unlocking that trait on all my Fed toons at Ker'rat. So far it hasn't mattered if its a tac, sci or eng toon. The ship has proven to be both hard to take down and still packs quite a punch.

Klingon PvPers have taken down my tactical toon's ship 3 times, once on my sci toon and the eng toon is near indestructable.

I brought the Klingon version earlier in the month. Haven't done much with it. Been busy with other stuff. But with re-engineering system being added soon. Been testing that and working out how much salvage you get from different items. I've brought some rare ship items from the exchange and put them on other ships, so I can use them for salvage. Should have at least a few thousand in salvage in the system is live. Another tip is craft Mark VIII (or X) ship items and save them for salvage.

I always meh at lockbox ships. They are like the Lamborghini of STO. Still. Probably keeps the servers up.

I don't disagree. The fact that they're lockbox ships also irks me. I've never gotten a ship I wanted that way. What I did to get my Kelvin Constitution was open as many lockboxes as it took to get enough valuable stuff to sell on the Exchange and buy the ship from someone outright. Although with this new stuff, who knows what they'll run for on the Exchange. It may be a while before I can afford one of those ships.

About once a year or two years I buy a ship....roughly....Vesta Three pack, t6 oddy three pack, and the steamrunner when it was a fiver on steam. Mrs got me a guardian when she got herself a Voyager pack, so that was nice....oh...and I got the groupon thing. Gifted the Mirror Guardian to a friend, who was so touched he went and tracked down another code and insisted I have one too.
That’s about it for my STO spending, barring a few zen splurges and a Ltd edition of the game when I first started.
I sort of mentally justify it by thinking of it the same as a person who buys the new FIFA or CoD every year.
All the really exciting stuff is too expensive tbh...for instance, to get a full Enterprise D experience, it’s a ton of moolah to get the different versions you need to have a T6, have saucer sep, and then the bridge that just came out.
Admittedly, this may just be sour grapes, because I am a semi casual player, who mains an engineer (top tip...if starting an MMO that I play, ask me what class I am and don’t play it. It will always turn out to be the rubbish one, because for some reason I let childhood dreams influence my choices. See also the Ranger in Guild Wars.) but I do find there to be a real sort of...glass ceiling? In STO. At least as far as Space Barbie goes.
Heck, I don’t even have the time to get most event ships these days xD

That reminds me, I need to probably bring my main back to the bBs fleet. I am in another t5 fleet, but like every damn fleet I find there’s just never anyone on and chatting when I am on. At least the old RP fleet I was in had people talking. Before it went Drama Llama over there.
Need a casual friendly UK fleet really. Have been soloing this game for seven years damnit.

I don't open boxes, I sell the keys and then buy the ships off the exchange with EC.
    Better odds that way.

I've got 500mil waiting on my main for one of Fed ships, I haven't decided which one I want though.

Probably the Discovery because it spins.

If STO were a full-price game at the outset, then I wouldn't bother spending a single dime more on what is essentially gambling. But I justify my investment because it's free to play. That said, I've definitely spent two or three times as much on STO as I would on a normal game. The way I justify that is that it's Star Trek and it's pretty much the only game I play on any kind of regular basis. I bought the Ultimate Edition of Injustice 2, played it for two weeks, then went back to playing STO. Could have bought a hell of a lot of Zen keys with that. I will say that the money I spent to get the Stealth Fighter Set was worth every penny.

And to be fair, now I hardly even use most of what I spent my money on. I think once most players figure out their most effective (and comfortable) playing style, they stick with that. Same for aesthetics. I fly a T6 Fleet Tactical Escort with the Defiant skin, I use either the DS9 or the Odyssey uniforms, etc. And that's generally what I always do now, maybe changing up my ship skin once in a while. I recently bought the Enterprise-D bridge but...am I ever gonna use it?

My first main was a science officer but then I realized that tactical officers have all the fun. There's just nothing like Rapid Fire III Phaser Quad Cannons and firing all six of those Quantum Warheads at once, just tearing ships apart. That's why I keep coming back.

EDIT: Having said all that makes me feel at ease waiting to try my hand at getting the Crossfield class rather than dumping a ton of money into it right away. Because honestly I'll probably fly it for a while, admire it, and then go back to my Defiant-class.

I probably open a couple of boxes, just to see my luck, but won't go overboard. Happy with what I have. Do want some of those uniforms. Might see what they sell like on the exchange at some stage.

The more opened boxes the closer to the the Lobi Shenzhou. It'll be a while but I'll get there. Lets hope the Discovery won't be a billion on the exchange.

Nah Normal lockbox ships don't get that high, at least on PC. they usually settle around 500 to 400 depending on the popularity.

When using transwarp it will play the Spore Drive animation

^ Nice. I only opened one box, no luck. Doesn't bother me as I'm happy with my fleet Arbiter ship.

And that new mission was pretty epic.

Would love to get that ship, but I’m not playing the Lockbox game. I made that mistake with the T6 Constitution back at the 50th anniversary. Spent plenty, got nothing.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
