UFOs are Unidentified Flying Objects. If I say I've found a UFO, all it means is that there's something in the sky that can't be identified.

If I say that I can prove a UFO is a spacecraft of extraterrestrial origin, then I'm talking out of my ass.

I would immediately contact my superior, the Grand Leader of Metaluna, and notify him that we've been discovered. Awaiting further instructions!

I'd probably be more surprised that the government is being honest than the fact that aliens exist and they've visited our planet.

That being said I'd probably spend countless hours online reading any information I could find out about them.

I don't know how I personally would react to a public disclosure like that.

I'd probably feel kind of optimistic

On the other hand the rellies can now visit without fear of being scared.

The Pentagon is afraid that maybe the American people are finally starting to wake up and realize that $800 BILLION A FUCKING YEAR is too much money to kill people for no reason. So now the Pentagon goes 'We need a TRILLION dollars a year to kill space aliens!!!'.

*Reads about how teens are eating soap balls*

Nah that can't be it, Americans are as stupid as ever.

Well when you put it like that.....

  6. if we somehow could prove
M-theory/Strings, then that would have been so much more important than any Alien/ufo disclosure.

But of course i would have been excited for a while and i would be especially interested in any material/alloys like room-temperature superconductors
    and higher dimensional technology

Why else would The Pentagon release this? Are they going to start explaining the top secret space shuttle talks they had or that mini space shuttle thing that orbits the Earth for years and won't say what it is?

No they released this random video for a reason and the only reason anything happens in America and the world is money.

I don't know if the 22 million the Pentagon spent to 'look into' UFOs was per year or for the five year span, but even 22 million out of a half a trillion dollar budget is probably less than they spend on Viagra or tiolet paper.

According to the Military Times, data from the Defense Health Agency indicate the U.S. Department of Defense spent $41.6 million on Viagra and $84.24 million total on drugs for erectile dysfunction in 2014.

So, yeah. 22 million is a rounding error to these people.

I have extremely significant doubt that alien life has visited us in person... because of the extremely vast distances involved and the time it would take to get here--for what? Would any intelligent beings commit themselves to leaving behind the people they know and their entire way of life, to venture off on a lark to observe a primitive species on a planet many hundred thousands of light years away? Earth is far outside the galactic cluster where "it's all happening." We're down the block beyond the street lights, tucked somewhere deep in the forest, when all the "action" is going on at the house next door. Makes no sense to check us out personally.

Now, a robot probe of some kind? I think that could be possible. Imagine a space faring alien species emerged long ago and as they ventured out, they also built sophisticated space exploration probes to "map out" the entire galaxy. I could see an alien probe visiting us to collect data and send back. But it would by nature be extremely stealthy and not so careless as to be visible to the inhabitants. 100% careful? Maybe they've made some mistakes. The risk? It has inspired the imagination of people, but I think the impact is very minimal... and mostly positive anyway.

I think if it has happened, it was a one-off event where they crashed here. I doubt they came here to give us technology in ancient times, nor do I think they are here playing cat-and-mouse with our fighter planes.

To hear some folks talk, you'd think Earth is the nexus of the universe.

The only crash of any note was Roswell 1947 and if that was a real UFO crash that's the only one that's ever happened or likely to have happened.

Or as the aliens put it on "The Simpsons"...

"Stop! We have reached the limits of what anal probing can tell us!"

  18. Lol=) we have not seen the last of motherships and probing yet.

There are talks about much more to come, two physicist,
    Eric Davis and Hal Puthoff
who worked on the Pentagon's secret UFO study has been on Coast to Coast talking about the pieces of metal that was announced in the Times article and verified the nimitz and gimbal videos as authenic etc.

As far as rumors go there is a new wave of information to come.
There is a strange potpourri of characters involved in this story so can be interesting to see whats next :-)

Whether it's little green men, robot probes, or whatever, the UFO phenomenon isn't just mass hallucinations or swamp gas. Yes, probably a lot of sightings could be attributed to experimental military aircraft or in this case, IR camera artifacts, but when you have world leaders such as President Truman and Soviet PM Gorbachev saying these things are real, it can't be dismissed outright.

This........ And people like airline pilots, and air force pilots have seen UFOs and I'd think both those groups are reliable people. There has to be something to it if it's persisted for so many years.
