No worries, I love doing variants of things. I'm coming up with something nice as we speak.

Yeah there was a concept from this graphic which looked pretty interesting.

Top one is my favorite as well. I guess we can call the bottom one a Mirror Universe variant.

Its the cut, Nothing you can do about that as your just altering colors. But that uniform cut is awful. I rather loved the current MU uniforms, those are simply fantastic.

I like the cut. The bottom one kinda looks like a racecar jumpsuit. But yes I love the Discovery MU uniforms. Best MU uniforms in the franchise honestly.

I like how it hints to the sash, yet does not have it. They just scream "evil empire"

Agreed. I also like the gold chest pieces like Tilly's. It feels like a TOS esque costume while being modern in it's own right.

Agreed, it gives off a bit of over the top Roman like symbolism too. Here is the captain, they are armored and covered in wealth and glory.

Oh yes, I got a bit of a TOS Klingon uniform vibe from it as well.

That's what the goatee is for ;)

But, I do agree that the armor is a nice addition to the Terran Empire.

Speaking of that, I simply Love some of those Klignon uniforms. I hope we get a better look at some of the others.

Or perhaps instead of following the teachings of Surak they followed the teachings of Lucien. :D

Also love the later TNG costumes, Voyager costumes. Best color. Sharpest design.

A prequel that doesn't fit into that world visually or thematically tends to be called a reboot.

I'm curious, does the novel mention why the Enterprise is much smaller than the Shenzhou?

I don't really recall any references to the sizes, but the Enterprise is depicted as more modern and better-equipped. Obviously there's no reason the Enterprise can't be a newer, better armed and better resourced ship in a smaller package.
